Description: In 1977, Indianapolis radio reporter Fred Heckman (Jon Hamm) is contacted by Tony Kiritsis (Giovanni Ribisi), who wanted to explain live on air why he was holding a man hostage. This anthology series, co-created by Shawn Ryan and Eileen Myers, was based on a podcast of the same name. These real-life events were also dramatized in Gus Van Sant's 2025 film "Dead Man's Wire," which was based on the 2018 documentary film "Dead Man's Line."
