View from the Top

Adult audiences may be underwhelmed. Not younger teenage girls, who will be completely fascinated.

A mediocre diversion -– a movie better watched at home where the remote control can be used (if necessary) to fast forward to the film's best part: the obligatory end credit outtakes.

Clearly a love letter to Paltrow, offering her plenty of moments to show off, but her acting is often flat and the self-adoration of the movie is almost too much to handle.

Flubs nearly every opportunity to be the comedy it wanted to be.

Co-star Christina Applegate, who's much more at home in this down and dirty milieu, wipes the floor (in one scene, literally, in a ludicrous cat fight) with the erstwhile Oscar winner.

Just lies there, poorly lit and tone-deaf.

The damn thing is boring. Dull as dirt. Despite the many fine actors involved, View From the Top is a third-class production through and through and, frankly, I'd rather be pelted in the head with stale, salty peanuts than sit through it again.

Gouynette Paltoc promène son petit cul et sa collection de wonderbras dans cette désolante comédie qui peut faire sourire le bon public au début mais qui fait grimacer inéluctablement : gnangnan et niaise à un degré rarement atteint et d'une débilité sans bornes, en témoigne l'affligeante présence de Mike Myers l'abruti mongoloïde en perpétuelle crise d'épilepsie de Parkinson, sa cervelle de veau lui dégouline par les oreilles. J'ai quand même tenu 50 mn avant d'accélérer en x2, x8 et x20. A ma décharge, je croyais que le film était déjà fini, absorbé que j'étais à deviner le string de Gouynette sous sa mini-jupe.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! It's so (not) funny that I want to (not) watch it a second time! Please (don't) watch it! Especially if you're a girl and you're looking for (no) great taste in comedy!
