Washington Post
A smart, marvelously drawn account of the bravery of homing pigeons during World War II.

Chicago Tribune
It's perhaps the first animated kids' film that can claim to be "based on a true story."

the animation was cheap, but the acting wasn't bad

Valiant has got a very predictable story, brilliant voice actors, terrible pacing, some good humour at times, lots of plot holes and the animation for this movie is honestly very dated.

Dallas Observer
The voice acting is adequate, but it fails to convey the diversity or personality of "Chicken Run" or "Shrek."

New York Daily News
The visuals might be undistinguished, but the voices are excellent.

Entertainment Weekly
The CG is on the rubbery side, and the backdrops are jarringly 2-D. But Valiant isn't so hard to look at -- it's hard to listen to.

Variety
Fails to get off the ground due to a by-numbers script and dodo-ugly character design.
30
Los Angeles Times
An unconscionably dreary and amateurish-looking thing, and the rote plot and annoyingly predictable script -- a compendium of bird puns, mostly -- don't work nearly hard enough to make up for the hammy awfulness of the images.

Valiant was a very good movie but not convincing , since the peliicula was distributed by Disney but is a film in England and that's the problem , but the movie was fun and interesting .

Not the best movie you would see. First 20 minutes were out of date and not so exciting. Tons of wrong suff. And yet its still good to watch, animation buffs should still watch

This is the first and since then ONLY movie where I have actually fallen asleep in the cinema watching it when it originally came out. All these years later, I decided to give it another chance and although the acting isnt bad and the concept for the story is good enough, EVERYTHING else in this movie just was not good for me.
