The Proposal

The chemical energy between Bullock and Reynolds is fresh and irresistible.

Director Anne Fletcher delivers more bite and brisker pacing than she did with "27 Dresses."

Shamelessly derivative, contrived and predictable, The Proposal is nonetheless a crowd-pleasing romantic comedy.

Ms. Bullock, who excels at playing spunky, is as appealing as usual, but the role proves as awkward as those heels.

You know every tinny beat and false note by heart, from the implausible setup to the sprint-to-the-airport finish.

A romantic comedy doesn't need to be original to be enjoyable, and yet The Proposal still falls way too short of the mark.

Monumentally unromantic.

This is one of my favorite movies, it's so different from what we see in Rom-Coms, totally worth to watch

Great Acting, felt like a practice movie for the actors to get used to favorite tropes.

While the actors are enjoyable, the characters are pretty flat. There is nothing remotely unique about this film, but most of it is just harmless entertainment that works for the most part.

The Proposal gets turned down. The movie begins with humor and an interesting concept for a rom-com. After the first hour it then begins to become tiresome and directionless. The movie then evolves to an illogical overly cheesy story with no substance and the character moves are incomprehensibly silly at best.
