The result apes "The Bourne Identity" so slavishly yet so boringly it winds up with no identity at all.

Sensibly rationing his facial expressions at this early stage in his career, 29-year-old actor and future Superman Cavill lacks the gruff authority of Liam Neeson - the go-to guy for tacky Euro-thrillers about dogged men shooting up the Continent - but looks better in a tight T-shirt.

Sehr sehr geiler Film, wirklich spannend bis zum Ende. Auch die Schauspieler sehr gut gespielt.

It exists basically as a long showreel for Superman-to-be Henry Cavill, who gets to demonstrate a mastery of run-with-a-gun acting and flex his leading man charisma without really breaking a sweat.

A preposterous thriller where the only thing more disappointing than the ending is the 93 minutes it takes to get there.

The Cold Light Of Day is the antithesis of a labor of love; it's a cold, mercenary endeavor that, like the thematically similar Taylor Lautner vehicle "Abduction," diligently ignores the potentially intriguing issues of family and identity its plot raises.

Relates more or less the same story as Spy Kids, though in this case the kid is in his late 20s and the spy stuff is much less believable or robust.

Weaver and Willis look bored silly while essaying their paint-by-numbers roles, and this film does nothing to make me think Cavill is going to be Zack Snyder's Superman incarnate.

This is what I call an action movie, this is what an epic movie holds, thriller, suspense, drama, crime, action, all come in one pack **** COLD LIGHT OF DAY, I don't know why people hate this movie!

I'm a bit stunned by the reviews of this movie. It isn't a great work of cinematic art nor is it the trash it's score would indicate. It's an action movie with a bit more complex plot than most. It's modest budget hurts its production values some, but I will always choose an interesting, original story over a large budget.

Despite a great cast and high production value, the cold light of day only really serves as a basic thriller in a very large pool of better ones. I suppose Willis and cavill fans might wanna check it out though.

It's clear that Cavill has some talent, and he's got the look, physicality , and charm to be an action star. The problem with this film is that the writing (the structure of the screenplay in particular) and directing are horrible. They squander both Willis and Weaver, who look mildly interested in the proceedings, and nothing more. I was thinking that any episode of Strike Back on Cinemax buries this film.

This movie is so bad that it makes me irrationally angry. Why Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver, or even Henry Cavill agreed to do this, I will have no idea. Maybe they just wanted a free vacation to Spain?
