You’ve got to lower the bar for a cliche-at-best thriller like Survive the Night. If it keeps you awake, consider that a success.

Arguably, the most exciting turn goes to a foxy, blue vintage Dodge Challenger. A small knot of cattle comes in a close second, scampering away from roar of the car chase. Because, yes, there’s got to be one of those, too.

Wow this is just a bad movie. So many plot holes. So much bad dialog. So much bad acting. Chad Michael Murray is ok but the rest is just so bad.

This movie makes no sense. Like actually no sense. Sven Bruce Willis’s acting couldnt save this. Its has the logic of a bad slasher film, yet is trying to be serious. I normally give actions movies a lot of grace, but damn....

Using the Desperate Hours template that has fueled countless thrillers since, Survive the Night is a particularly forgettable example of a tired subgenre that, like so many of Willis' recent efforts, squanders his still estimable movie-star charisma.

It’s possible to imagine a tight, suspenseful version of this home invasion chestnut, but Survive the Night is paced to run out the clock.

Terrible! Boring, uneventful and the action is crap. Bruce Willis is past his prime and his only current marketable talent is creating hype for garbage movies. Don’t bother with this drab drek of a suspense movie comprised of characters making stupid decisions, a plot that should have been no more than 45 minutes being dragged to almost an hour and a half, unlikable characters, terrible direction, over acting, all the worn out horror movie cliches like jump scares and if course characters other than the villain acting stupid.
