I enjoyed Subservience for what it is: a Megan Fox vehicle with a dash of sci-fi. Casablanca it is not, but that’s okay.

With a little more thought, and some effort made to elevate the narrative beyond sexy killer robots, it could have carved out a space as a cult hit, but Subservience falls short.

I loved this movie! especially in the day and age of AI and people's fears of the dangers. Megan's performance was great

Not as bad as people say it is. The acting from Megan Fox is pretty good. The plot is quite basic, but it gets the job done, since it's just a horror/Sci-Fi movie. Solid 6.5/10 in my opinion.

If only the film were a little bit smarter and less predictable, it might have had a chance of becoming a cult classic.

The movie isn't as bad as its ratings suggest. It's just average—good for a one-time watch in the evening. It's easy-going and not intense at all. I wouldn’t mind seeing a sequel.

I found myself enjoying this movie more than I thought I would. I love any media based on the idea of humanity creating humanoids/androids and the setting of this movie didnt dissapoint. Unfortunately though the plot is very simple and predictable. Too predictable, I found myself literally guessing what would happen next. Megan Fox's acting is also pretty bad. She just acts like a sex crazed freak and not an android. Its clear the writers saw detroit become human and bladerunner and wanted to do something similar but it falls very flat. Its not bad but its not great either

"Subservience" (2024) attempts to deliver a thrilling and thought-provoking exploration of artificial intelligence and its impact on human relationships. While Megan Fox is captivating in her role as a seductive android, the film ultimately falls short due to a predictable plot and missed opportunities for deeper exploration.Megan Fox is undeniably alluring as the AI companion, bringing a captivating blend of sensuality and artificiality to the role. Her performance is a highlight, showcasing her ability to portray both vulnerability and a chilling detachment. However, even her star power can't fully elevate a film that struggles to find its **** film's premise, exploring the ethical implications of AI companions and the blurred lines between human and machine, holds promise. However, the narrative falls into predictable tropes, with the AI becoming self-aware and posing a threat to its human family. The plot lacks originality and fails to delve into the deeper philosophical questions it **** supporting cast delivers decent performances, but the characters are underdeveloped and lack depth. The film's pacing is uneven, with some scenes dragging while others feel rushed. The ending, while attempting to be shocking, feels predictable and lacks a satisfying resolution.Despite its shortcomings, "Subservience" offers some visually appealing moments and a captivating performance from Megan Fox. However, its predictable plot and missed opportunities for deeper exploration prevent it from being a truly memorable or thought-provoking sci-fi thriller.

Megan Fox plays a dryly horny humanoid robot that bucks her programming and seeks to replace the protagonist's wife. This movie is full of tropes, but it is generally enjoyable because it isn't too serious. Subservience lacks nearly all of the woke checklist items that are currently required by big studios.

"Subservience" (Aug 2024, R, $250k w/w) Make no mistake, this is a showcase for Megan Fox who hasn't starred in a mainstream film since 2016's TMNT (- not that this is a mainstream film). She looks as hot as ever (closing in on 40) and you're hopeful given the R rating that you'd see a bit more of her, but AFAIC this rates a PG13. And given that it made nothing at all at the boxoffice - apparently not even released in the US - it would've attracted more viewers as PG13. Anyway, it gets a middling rating from me since it's your typical low-budget, lovely-helperbot-turns-murderbot plot. It doesn't even really utilize present-day AI tropes or tech in the story, so that's a bad miss.
