This new Scream is a killer. Smartly scary and scary smart, consistent with the history of this series but unafraid to piss off fans if it’s for the good of the story. This satire of requels may very well be the first requel done right. It’s a scream, baby.

This is the best installment since the original, mainly because the film takes risks and bends conventions already set forth by the films that came before it. Scream was built on rules, but rules are always best when broken.

Happy 3 year anniversary Scream 5 review one of my favorite movies. I saw this movie in theaters. This movie was really scary. You know with the Dolby optimal sound system and then you know in theaters as well. The theater Dolby sound system was scary. Made this movie scary everything is scary the phone calls Dewey’s death was also funny it shocked me Roger L Jackson, threatening dialogue in delivery and then the kill scenes were amazing in the writing for this movie was amazing. The story and the characters were amazing. They made them smart realistic shocking and the directing by Matt and Tyler were amazing and their camera angles with a lot of stuff was amazing and then using the cameras to film things to like brighten up a lot of stuff and then like the Dolby Vision really made everything stand out he even made ghostface look amazing like his robe in Dolby vision looks good like like really good in black and in his mask got white but in 4K looks good as well and also in high lighting range 10 also looks good for scream five as well but mostly Dolby vision looks good in for scream five in the acting for this movie is amazing as well from everybody. Everyone played their character their role really well and that’s what made this movie super good as well. Is the acting and everybody’s role in it the acting in the directing really help helped this movie oh, in the in credit songs were really good like songs that put on my playlist that I listen to. 5 star 10 out 10 star 100 out 100 star

Campbell, Cox, and Arquette all have chances to shine, and Campbell’s rueful confidence even approaches something vaguely touching. But this is a crowded movie where the body count sometimes inspires relief rather than dread: Finally, some of these extra characters are being cleared out!

The series moves forward with the succinctly-titled Scream, the first without Wes (this new film is dedicated to his passing), and one that goes full-tilt into horror movie metacommentary, perhaps to its detriment.

Way fiercer and funnier than a fourth sequel has any right to be. Here's ‘Scream’ for a new generation – so self-aware that it mocks itself for relying on borrowed inspiration (the 1996 Wes Craven original) while squeezing the golden goose for one last payoff.

I wish this movie offered a little less running commentary and a little more running — anything, really, to get itself off the treadmill of self-critique and self-congratulation and actually going somewhere new.

There is such a thing as toxic fandom, to borrow the term used by one of this movie’s young protagonists, and “Scream,” which is filled with endless conversation about the difference between a sequel and a “requel” and more rules than a penitentiary, suffers from it, fatally.

Scream (2022) doesn’t have as much personality as its predecessors, but is ultimately successful in its attempt to revitalize the franchise.

This movie started out promising enough but fumbles the ending so so badly.

Scream manages to be the worst part of a franchise. It has become fashionable nowadays; the new films of the series make fun of the old ones and belittle them. This movie is nothing more than a sting, with a mediocre story and a lousy finale.
