An unashamed exploitation movie with teeth, this has all the dinosaur devilry and gung-ho soldiering you could want. There’s even a sweet Tyrannosaur love story in the mix.

If you are looking for a B movie blast **** time, this one is for you. With a budget of only 7 million, they still managed to create more fun than the last 4 or 5 Jurassic Park movies combined.

Jurassic Park meets Full Metal Jacket! Such a great concept and story - even if it is a Sci-Fi channel quality movie. Love the casting - even if the directing and dialog doesn't always translate from page to screen. Effects are really decent quality and the green-screen is kept to a minimum. All this need was a little more polish and it would have been a summer blockbuster with a hell of a hook for sequels!

Primitive War is a fairly decent dinosaur romp, a rare occurrence these days. Nothing quite beats Jurassic Park but you can get a decent prehistoric kick from this. The special effects are actually really good, and apart from the worlds worst Tyrannosaurus chomp sound FX, the audio quality is great. Worth a once over.

The CGI of the dinosaurs is bad....honestly, it’s just trash compared to something like Jurassic Park or even Jurassic World, including Edwards’ latest. Primitive War also suffers from poor acting and weak cinematography. Some scenes are somewhat acceptable if you take into account the low budget and are willing to forgive the film for that, but the reality is that it’s still a bad dinosaur action movie. All of us dinosaur fans were hoping for something that another big franchise has been failing to deliver. However, it’s not exactly a disappointing movie.

Not much to see here. The acting by the soldiers was shallow, stereotypical and over the top. Every forced war movie trope, but worse. The actress couldn't act to save her life or fake a Russian accent.
