David Klass, the screenwriter, gives Freeman and Judd more specific dialogue than is usual in thrillers; they sound as if they might actually be talking with each other and not simply advancing plot points.

Fleder has directed three-quarters of a terrific movie and one-quarter of pure Hollywood baloney. After carefully building up the suspense and tension through Cross and McTiernan's search, spiked with nail-biting encounters on both coasts, Fleder lets it trail off in anti-climax and banal violence.

this film may be a bit old but it was still good, the actors were brilliant but that is expected by Morgan Freemon. the plot is clever but you can tell what is coming in the film (well if you have a brain) and this does sort of wreck the film this is why more score is not higher. i thought it was a developed film with good actors and good plot

the thriller is worth watching, the plot is classic but interesting, but something was missing while watching

Replete with smart, capable characters and crimes so bizarre that they lend the film a suspiciously lurid nature, this tony suspenser is hampered by the presence of a villain who is all too obvious from the very beginning.
50
Sensitive acting by Morgan Freeman and stylish directing by Gary Fleder can't overcome the bottom-line pointlessness of the movie's melodramatic material, which never achieves the dark resonance that helped "The Silence of the Lambs" get under the skin of many moviegoers.

Mr. Freeman projects a kindness, patience and canny intelligence that cut against the movie's fast pace and pumped-up shock effects. His performance is so measured it makes you want to believe in the movie much more than its gimmicky jerry-built plot ever permits.

It's diverting enough, and intermittently suspenseful, but also strangely empty and decadent in a way that truly merits that overused term.
10
Misguided attempts at political correctness make this serial-killer movie stupid instead of just dull.

Not that bad of a movie. Gets involved in a sex ring. Alex Cross has to figure out if she a victim or a participant.

"Kiss the Girls" is the first entry in the Alex Cross series, and the best one so far. But that's not saying much, with lackluster entries like "Along Came a Spider" and Tyler Perry's "Alex Cross" abomination. This movie has some build up, not too many implausible moments, and great performances by Judd and Freeman. It's not cinematic art, but it's a good watch for a Friday night in the summer.

AAmmm... It was a good movie to watch, but it had a klischee end where the good guy kills the bad guy! We've seen that a 100s of times! A great performance by Ashley Judd, but I've seen better of Morgan. This movie wanted to be similar to Se7en, but it was not. Maybe I'm giving the movie a highest rating it could be, but the only reason why I'm giving it 6 is because Morgan is in it and he's swearing. You don't hear that every day!

The plot plays out well, and Kiss the Girls has some thrills for sure, but all through the movie, I couldn't help thinking how good it could've been with Denzel as Cross.
