There's a good chance that Judge's smartly lowbrow Idiocracy will be mistaken for what it's satirizing, but good satire always runs the risk -- of being misunderestimated.

Idiocracy is easily the most potent political film of the year, and the most stirring defense of traditional values since Edmund Burke's Reflections on the Revolution in France.

This is by far one of my favorite films of all time. I love the dumb comedy, but also the pure genius of this movie. While nothing in this film will come true, or is actually how our world is, but the reflection and metaphor of what this film portrays is incredible. We nearly have President Camacho as president right now in 2025, but we have the villain version of President Camacho. I just love love love this film and could go on and on about, but you should just watch it yourself instead.

Its an extremely well portrayal of the modern left and liberals. If this trend of idiocracy continues we might see this come to life.

The plot, naturally, is silly and not exactly bound by logic. But it's Judge's gimlet-eyed knack for nightmarish extrapolation that makes Idiocracy a cathartic delight.

Idiocracy, is often stingingly funny -- and an undeserving resident of the summer's-end movie dumping ground.
67
The delivery in Idiocracy is frequently flat, but it's vision is dead-on.

A satire for its time. What Judge is less sure of here than in his previous, perfectly pitched live-action comedy "Office Space," is how to build a complete movie around his key ideas.

If you crave a lively and funny trek through the farcical possibilities of unchecked dimwit power, Judge is still your guy. Just go rent "Beavis and Butt-Head Do America" instead.

The US in the very current moment. No matter how sad it may sound but the prophecy is coming true.

Hahaha, the people in *Idiocracy* are so dumb; they live in a democracy where they’re free to determine their own lives and futures, yet what do they do? They don't give a **** about politics; instead, they bombard their brains with stupid videos 24/7, trash the planet, and eat like crap. Luckily, such idiotic scenarios only exist in Hollywood comedies from the **** for the movie itself: it has a great premise for a comedy, but unfortunately, it starts to drag after just half an hour because the plot is completely unengaging. Why should I care about these moronic future-dwellers or the ultimate "Wonder Bread" average Joe (aka Luke Wilson)? That dynamic worked much better in *WALL-E*. Still, Terry Crews as the President and the countless visual gags in the background make *Idiocracy* worth watching. You just shouldn't expect a smart movie.

Pretty good fun. A reminder that democracy requires vigilance, and vigilance requires not being lazy.

I gave this "film" a 2 only because it was an interesting concept. Beyond Judge saying "Hey, this would be a good concept for a film", his execution was terrible from start to finish. Don't waste your time. If you want a dystopian story about how stupid have become in the future read Super Sad True Love Story.

Just too dumb to be enjoyed. Painfully unfunny; won't be watching this again anytime soon.
