I thought this was a very good film. Yeah, it's very subtle and understated, but it speaks volumes. Sam's sense of betrayal from both adults makes her wiser (in a painful way), as well as gives her a feeling of overwhelming loneliness. The lead character was played perfectly.

Only two reasons I finished this movie: I kept hoping something would actually HAPPEN; I was on a four hour flight that was too dark to read my People magazine. JK, if I’d had the magazine I’d been much more satisfied. The actress was good but do we really need to see her change her tampon FOUR times??!!

Good One has a confident authorial voice, but technical inexpertise gets in the way. The pivotal scene takes place around the campfire, and it uses so many camera angles that it’s impossible to tell when characters are looking at each other.
