Ultimately, this movie isn’t “Us,” or any other shrewd riff on contemporary culture. You won’t make a fatal — or even near-fatal — error if you stream it. Sometimes a second-rate thriller is just a second-rate thriller.

In any case, Fatal Affair is one of those lucky efforts in which everything good about it is good and everything bad about it is fun. The cheesiness is part of the experience.

I watched this because it had a couple of old school actors that I liked (Omar Epps and Nia Long). However, the acting was not that great. And the plot was slightly predictable. It was a good one to watch in the background while working out or doing something else on your to-do list. Entertaining in a junk food consumption type of way.

Too chaste to be a “Fatal Attraction” ripoff and far too dull to approach the hammy charms of “Obsessed,” the greatest assets of Peter Sullivan’s Fatal Affair are stars Nia Long and Omar Epps. They keep this from looking and feeling like a limp Lifetime movie knockoff.

I really like Omar Epps, I've been a fan of his ever since House but this film was embarrassingly bad even for Netflix standards. The cast itself, especially Epps and Long give their best efforts but the story and screenplay is just so by the numbers and it does nothing to even try to be scary or at the very least thrilling
