In what I saw, Madonna in the title role tries bravely not to buckle under the weight of Stone and Parker's sense of Stalinist monumentality and fails honorably, while the Lloyd Webber music goes on being nonmusical.

its a masterpiece and so Good.. i cried i kaughed. i sang.. i danced.. Madonna IS EVITA... she deserved an Oscar for it... i will watch it again many more times... with this pamdemic it allows us to see musicals in new ways... a must see

Another Alan Parker musical that is both enjoyable and nostalgic to watch. But it must be said that the film has nothing new compared to the previous films of this director. Seeing the actress and biography of Eva Peron is the distinguishing point of the film.
