"Deadstream" feels like ’80s Sam Raimi traveled forward in time, became obsessed with streaming culture, and turned Ash Williams into the dumbest possible stunt streamer. And it rules. With stunning creature effects, a great balance between laughs and scares, and one of the best uses of the Screenlife format, this is a film that could easily become a Halloween tradition.

A very self aware movie that holds a mirror up to online culture. The main character Shawn goes full tilt influencer and pulls it off flawlessly. If you are someone unaware of YouTube and Twitch culture this movie may not do it for you. Entertaining from start to finish. It has all the qualities of a cult classic and it wouldn't surprise me if this becomes a staple for most horror film enthusiasts.

This was the best horror comedy I have watched in recent years. Uses all the elements of horror, and yet it is absurdly comedic. Like a V/H/S episode. Really like the movie.

Despite its third act problems, it’s safe to say that Deadstream has done for YouTube/Twitch what Unfriended did for Skype, what Host did for Zoom and what Paranormal Activity did for home security footage.

Um besteirol de mockumentary, que precisa de mosntros, sangue, gritaria e um protagonista streamer narrando tudo o que acontece. Tecnicamente, ainda assim, eu curti, e faz bom uso do espaço claustrofóbico. A edição também é esperta, e por mais que as tomadassejam da perspectiva do protagonista, a história transcorre com fluidez, o que é muito bom em termos narrativos.

Horror / comedy movie produced in 2022. A social media creator produces videos about facing their own fears. This man's biggest fear is ghosts. To face this fear, he prefers a house in a desolate place with many deaths in his past. Even though the house is in ruins, it was abandoned with all its belongings left. And a cursed spirit truly lives in the house. The whole movie is screaming and laughing. The effects are unbelievably bad. I guess this is how to reel these kinds of movies. Lots of copying from the 80s phenomenon "Evil Dead". But not bad for fun. He took the content producers a lot of ridicule. So much so that even in the worst situation, he still speaks to his audience. Everything in the movie is predictable. There is no sex or nudity in the movie.

An entire movie basically ruined by high pitched shrieking and over the top squealing. We get it, the guy is an effeminate youtuber who only appeals to losers and children, just like every single youtuber on Earth. But when fight or flight kicks in even a valley girl either freezes up or gets serious. The dude had a supernatural spirit trying to literally kill him and he was giggling and laughing at top volume. It is pretty hard to make a film like this work with just 1 actor for most of the movie, but I'm giving a 0 because a bunch of people worked on this project and thought the over the top comical yelling was good to go.
