The film adds up to a lot of bad ideas and very few good ones, wandering around Roth's footsteps in search of purpose.

The rating on this film reflects on the idiocy of people who rate movies on this site... not well, it doesn't reflect well upon them at all... Firstly, this is a horror movie, the gore was beyond my liking. I don't have a "thing" for melting human flesh, however, I won't rate it less for that, but that's where people on this site go wrong it seems. They see something that makes them throw their food up and it's an automatic 0 rating. Whenever you see a rating of 0 you should automatically know in your deepest of ... "minds" that the person who rated it is a total and utter idiot. If you don't like horror movies, don't watch them. If for some reason, whatever reason you watch a horror movie, don't rate it. I'm sick of these low ratings horror movies have because of idiots who "try" to watch the horror genre for the first time and decide to rate it. DON'T Rate it, leave the rating to people who actually watch horror movies and love them. I don't like the romance genre, however I do watch them occasionally but I don't rate them, if it's a bad one I just sigh and go my own way... I don't go out of my way to rate something that I don't know especially a lot about or like to the extent where I need to rate it. ANYWAY!!! This is not the best movie out there, however it's definitely nothing below a 4. Yes the movie could have been better IMO, however the way this movie could been better to me, is different than it would been to you. However, if it was that easy making "could have been better" movies, I would already made a million of them. There were idiot moments in this movie that could have been done differently and better, FOR SURE, but I enjoyed it as it is with it's flaws. Had I based whether I'd watched this movie or not based on the rating, I wouldn't have watched it, luckily, I watched it before it got the idiot rating that it has now and I'm glad I watched it then.

Cabin Fever is not a masterpiece and I don't think it deserved a **** the acting here is bad,they added a lot of bad ideas and the movie is a close copy of the entire first **** least the practical effects and the gore were okay.

Scene for scene, line for line, gag for gag, it’s basically the same movie. And the original was no masterpiece to begin with.

Who benefits from the existence of this film? Certainly not the largely bland ensemble of post-adolescent actors cast as the leads, who here can scarcely be called characters. Possibly the day players essaying those stock grotesques, who retain the air of being hungry for work.

Going into this movie, I had Zero expectations. I was prepared to turn it off after 15 mins of watching it. But what a surprise! It was actually interesting! I enjoyed watching it and wanted to know how it was going to end! 5 out of 10!

i dont understand why they made a remake. there was a 3rd sequel to this just 2 years prior to this one. i mean they pretty much copied dam near word for word of the original movie with minor changes. also scene for scene as the original. you had a decent cast here. you couldnt just come up with your own script. It was was really pointless to make this film other than stealing someone elses movie to make money off it.

The original Cabin Fever isn't a masterpiece, but it was a movie I really loved. This movie follows the original very closely, but seems to fail at everything along the way. The setting here seems too nice, the characters are woefully stupid, and the decisions they make are even worse. The movie isn't even consistent, with one part being a big deal because a character runs out of ammo, and in the very next scene fires it at full auto. This is an unnecessary remake that brought nothing new or better to the original.

Stupid, ugly, clichéd, and uninteresting, Cabin Fever represents one of those horror films that must never be spoken in front of any sign of public. That's only if Travis Zariwny can actually step his game up and start making freshly made movies.
