This kind of film requires us to be very forgiving, and if we are, it promises to entertain. Angels & Demons succeeds.

It's got enough going on to sustain five blockbuster thrillers. That is its blessing and its curse.

Very entertaining and suspenseful!! Ron Howard is a very good director. Watch this movie!! It's obviously very underrated but do not listen to the critics and enjoy it!!

Great movie, very entertaining with a thrilling story. Again same as Part 1 the "Da Vinci Code" pretty much setup story **** cares. These are the movies you go to the cinema for.... I love such mystical thrillers of which you unfortunately nowadays can only find so few.....Watch it!

Less turgid and aggravating than its predecessor, this cleverly produced melodrama remains hamstrung by novelist's Dan Brown's laborious connect-the-dots plotting and the filmmakers' prosaic literal-mindedness in the face of ripe historical antagonisms, mystery and intrigue.

Though complete redemption of Brown's fiction may not be possible, Howard's new film at least represents an upgrade from a mortal to a venal movie sin.

Watching what Howard has done with the book - covering up the lewdness, blunting the snobbery, and spackling the amazing plot holes - is dismaying. This adaptation has the stink of superiority about it.

Angels & Demons is a serious slog. Still, it's an odd kind of a slog that manages to keep you partially engaged, even at its most esoteric or absurd.

Brown and now Ron Howard have added an incendiary element to trash--open hostility toward the Catholic Church.

The Acting And Pacing, Is Perfectly timed, Tom Hanks is rather extraordinary, as well Pierfrancesco Favino. If you liked 2006's The DaVinci Code, Then Angels & Demons, is worth your time.

A frantic sprint through sacred shadows: A 3.0-star puzzle that favored speed over depth.090514 (3.0)I watched this in the theater in 2009. Compared to the dense mystery of "The Da Vinci Code," this sequel felt more like a high-stakes race against time. While the Vatican setting was visually stunning and the historical puzzles were intriguing, the breakneck pace didn't leave much room for the suspense to truly breathe. It was an entertaining enough thriller for a theater visit, but it lacked that "chewy" tension I usually look for in a masterpiece. A decent 3.0 for a religious scavenger hunt that was fun but a bit fleeting.

Robert Langdon doing a great thing with his research. Despite the religion things, Objectivity must be in hand before investigating criminal case

Angels & Demons is a fake film, now you may be asking what I mean by this. This film is essentially 2 hours of exposition while the characters act like things are happening. But what’s actually happening is an absolute mess on screen with a bunch of characters that are so bland you could eat them after vomiting from how disgustingly bad this movie is. Okay that is taking it a bit too far because it can be entertaining to watch some of this movies many action sequences but overall its just boring. If you havent seen this let me give you an example of a scene in this film. *Characters run into a room and one asks "that statue what is it?" and then tom hanks goes "oh that statue was made by john paul george in 1897 while running from some guys that he thought were trying to kill him but were actually trying to recruit him to the illuminati because he was a mathematical genius that was working on a revolutionary theory that would prove that god exists but then suddenly he spontaneously combusted and created this entire cathedral in the time it took him to explode". Repeat the pattern scene after scene. If you wanted to watch an adventure quest movie this would be one of the last I recommend. Slow, tedious, predictable, bad acting, bad writing and dialogue, the plot is just **** happening and the viewer watches and goes “mhm mhm mhm sure tom go off king”. ****/10
