Venom is not the best table they have introduced to Zen Pinball this year, but it remains close to the way the character is presented in the comics and allows players to relive the most interesting moments associated with him.
While I enjoyed this table very much, it did take some getting used to. Usually the Zen Pinball tables are a breeze to understand and play, but this Venom table is one exception. It will take some skill to get everything down, but when you do, you’ll see it is one of the better tables to have come out in months.

As if we weren't already impressed enough with the high quality of their most recent entries: The Walking Dead & South Park, the folks at Zen Studios decided that it's wall-crawling time once again, only this time it's Marvel favorite "Venom" pulling the symbiotic strings for our pinball enjoyment! If I didn't know better I would say they have an artist up there making the actual tables for real. That's how much detail you notice, even the little things. The main thing I noticed right off is the "Carnage" prison in the middle of the table, right underneath the glass. From that point on,getting him outta there became my main focus (for me,it became the Carnage table haha!), excellent inclusion! Everything about these Zen tables tell a story,or contribute to the overall theme, like the buildings in the backround, the symbiote webbing surrounding the table, and of course,Venom and Carnage holding court center-stage. The voice acting for Spidey,Venom, and Carnage are spot-on. You will be reminded of "Amazing Spider-Man" animated series from the 90s immediately. I was expecting the carnage "jailbreak" to queue up some multi-ball unlock (which is my favorite), but I wasn't expecting to be taken to a different table for it,which was a nice surprise. Throughout the table you will notice numerous comic references if you zoom in (Anti-Venom). With the recently surfacing rumors of "Venom","Spider-Man 3", and "Sinister 6" movies planned for next year and beyond, one might think this is rather clever timing on the part of Zen Studios,so kudos once again. Good: Great attention to detail, awesome voice acting, good use of Carnage! Bad: Evil wins!!! Overall: Whether you are a pinball enthusiast, a casual who is just curious, or a collector of everything SpiderMan-Related, this is one pinball table worth adding to anybody's collection.
