This technically superb tribute to Destruction Derby could use some more insanity (especially in terms of unimaginative, repetitive arenas and challenges) and a broader color palette. The default driving model (with active assists) is both believable and satisfying and the destruction model is very detailed. [09/2018, p.60]

Wreckfest maintains all its promises we expected in all these years of development: destruction, a very accurate physical model and a lot of fun.

Wreckfest is wild, a cornucopia of damage that shines in demolition, dampening the pain of a DNF with the pleasure of watching your car get destroyed in spectacular fashion.

Wreckfest is out of its early access, but there is still work to do, especially to give it a real "soul" in solo mode. It is far above all the competition in rendering physical damage on cars. It offers hours of discoveries and online racing.

If you liked FlatOut, you'll love Wreckfest. Drily presented, but wonderfully brutal full-contact racing with impressive physics.

Wreckfest is a solid product. It is fun, has a good amount of content, gives to the player a wide range of personalization and it is visually great. Because of that, even though it doesn’t offer something that we haven’t seen before, we recommend it for every player that likes the off-road and demolition genres.

Wreckfest lacks coherent vision. It feels as if Bugbear Interactive, during all these long years of development hell, still haven’t figured out what game exactly they were trying to create.

This is my favorite racing game so far! It is so perfect, my god! The destruction model is superior; you never get this level of destruction in any sim. The music deserves a dedicated award. The physics is on a decent level, but not overwhelmed with tons of tunings. The AI is a monstrous and maximally aggressive, you will find it challenging.
If you an old fan of Flatout 1 (not 2, it's a trash :)) you definitely should try Wreckfest

Fun to play that reminded me of the destructive racing of ps1 era's destruction derby' and 90's racer carmageddon. Thesolo campaign is a pretty basic spread of maps and modes with some great performance on my 5800x3d rtx3070 combo. Not sure I wouldve played this if it hadnt had come onto gamepass but im glad i played through this one!

This game has the hit things with the thing you're in down, but everything else is kind of not fun. I'm not sure who this game is for because it wasn't enjoyable compared to previous derby type games I've played. The physics feel bad, the control just isn't good, the graphics are okay but not great, the soundtrack makes me feel like I should be playing this 15 years ago, and it's just eh. I feel like I've played this game as shovelware on the PS2.

This is only a cheap racing game, with worse drive physics and a faulty dmg recognition. A lot of bugs and less content. I dont understand the good reviews, they are maybe faked.
