Wargroove is really easy to sum up. It's a more tactical version of Advanced Wars set in a fantasy universe. You can lead armies as a great pyrenees doggo that inspires his troops... enough said. I rate this game a good boy out of ten.

Inspired by reviews describing a noble virtual lineage, I approached it with confidence and was partially disappointed. The battle system is not well calibrated and is sometimes chaotic and dirty. Still, the game offers several hours of entertaiment.

Masterpiece in turn-based strategic game. Nice pixel game design, dialogs, many game modes, fair play, history and low price. If you don't have money to but those popular AAA game, give it a try.

Wargroove is a great spiritual successor of Advance Wars serie. It's funny, clever and very addictive. If you enjoy with turn-based tactical games, you must be played it.

Many have tried and failed to craft an accessible and satisfying turn-based strategy game in the years since Nintendo abandoned Advance Wars, but Wargroove is near perfection. From the slick animation and funny writing to the deep tactics and diversity of play options, this is more than just a throwback or homage.

Love this game for the casualness and simplicity of strategic game, and it has multiplayer mode. That's a super plus for me.

Wargroove is a gorgeous example of high fidelity pixel art, even when you’re fully zoomed out during gameplay. The battle scenes are vibrant and energetic, although they do take a bit too long to play out. There’s nothing in-game quite as pretty as the fully animated cutscene that starts everything off, but we can’t have everything.

Wargroove is absolutely fantastic. If you are a fan of strategy games, you can safely buy it. Waiting for a new Advance Wars or Fire Emblem is the perfect entertainment, especially after the latest patches that have balanced the difficulty.

I would have given the very good game a 9 out of 10 points. But since I am banned to play only black people and woman, I cannot identify with the main characters of the game since I am one of maybe 75% withe male people who want to play this game. It is very good like Advance wars, rhough. Sory guys, I do not see my iwn text here anymore on my smarthpone so I have to quit writing.

Charming dialogue, beautiful pixel sprites, and fun animations! Terrible user interface and design. However, during arcade mode, there is no way to leave and come back to the match. You can't even edit or clear difficulty mid run and would have to start the run before exiting. Also, whoever set the default A button as the way to continue the dialogue while having it exit and abandon the run after a loss means as you spam the A to continue the dialogue, you will inevitably miss-press it and abandon the entire run on arcade mode, as I did.

Honestly this game is not as good as I had hoped. The dialog is just horrible with one note characters and a plot so bland a 3 year old would fall asleep. Honestly cringed way too many times.
Art direction is mixed it has some ok sprite work when it comes to the overview but the characters are ugly as sin. It honestly feels like the modern day use low quality pixel art and pass it as retro when the devs don't understand what made retro games good looking.
Combat is barely serviceable. Too many units just counter each other and themselves it seems like. It makes it hard to bait or attack units with things you can build. Honestly this game is a hard pass. "No honey we can't buy Advance Wars, we have Wargroove at home."
