Final showdown is a good version of vf5, it's a great fighting game, this game is just fights don't expect story mode, nor a large amount of costumes. what's really important is the combat system. I think it's good it's even a little more intuitive than the previous games. but it's still hard. another positive aspect is the level of animations. if you like fighting games a lot, give it a try.

What a great fighting game! Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown makes some neat changes. First, the throw break system in this game is much more intuitive. Next, the more obvious change being an vastly increased move set and combo potential for each character. Getting into the lab and seeing what every character can do in this iteration is one of the funnest parts of this game. License mode is a neat addition, not as fun as core Virtua FIghter 5's quest mode, but it's good for beginners to show them the ins and outs of some of the various systems employed by the game. For the price, you can't really beat that either. Any self respecting fighting game fan should have this one in their library!

With the market now full of unbelievably fantastic fighting games, and it being a revision of a five-year-old title, Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown still manages to stand head and shoulders above most of its competition. It may not have the install base of other fighters, but it's still one of the deepest fighting game experiences to date.

Other franchises do an admirable job of capturing the spirit of fighting, the spirited back-and-forths of a good brawl. But with Virtua Fighter, you get the very essence of fighting, the true artistry in martial arts. And it's a total knock out.

1200 Microsoft Points gets you a fighting game that is decidedly different, but has a depth and a fighting system that's on par with the best. The rest of the package is rather lacking though, and so we'll only recommend this game to those who know exactly what they're in for.

Dedicated fans of the genre who maybe have gotten tired of the madness of Marvel vs. Capcom or other more crazy modern fighting games might appreciate this slightly enhanced and tweaked technical fighter. Most others, I'm afraid-myself included-probably won't find much to invest here.

I still keep coming back to this after all these years. Graphics still look great and gameplay just cannot, cannot be beat, especially coming into the series as a 2D fighting fan. This is still simply the best 3d fighter there is.

This is the best fighting game available, and it's only $15.00! $45.00 if you want to customize all of your characters! It's just such a deep game! This is not a game for people that aren't willing to learn the ins and outs of the system. If you want mindless fun. Look else ware. This game is the Chess of fighting games.

VF5FS...When a game makes me hyperventilate when I'm playing it that makes it a great game in my eyes. I had downloaded the trial a week or two ago, but finally played it today out of boredom and I knew I had to own it within the first 10 seconds of my first match. I remember the very first time that I played VF1 at my local movie theater back in 1993 and even though the last VF game I remember playing is VF2 on the Sega Saturn I've been a fan for 20 years. It's the first 3d fighting game I ever saw/played and playing VF5FS brings me back to being 17 years old ( I'm 34) the only difference is that now I don't have to walk for 30 minutes just to play for 30 minutes, all I have to do is turn on the 360.

Skip this game. I have no idea why somebody would give 10 here. Rediilusly terrible fighting simulator. Don't pay and don't play.
