V Rising offers an immersive vampire survival experience where players can sink their teeth into building, crafting, and battling in a gothic open world. The game’s blend of base-building and action-packed combat creates a unique and engaging experience, though its complexity might be daunting for newcomers. It’s a deep and rewarding adventure for those willing to invest the time and effort, making it a must-try for fans of survival and vampire lore.
Quotation forthcoming.
V Rising does almost everything right to offer satisfaction to the player who wants both solid action gameplay, and opportunities to unleash their architectural talents. Unfortunately, the few things it gets wrong are significant enough to keep it from receiving rave reviews.

Plays like a survival ARPG and is quite good. A big highlight was the boss fights. They are all unique, play quite differently, and are just fun to do. Lots of different enemies and multiple areas. Different weapon types played differently and added variance. Some decent music and good graphics with good performance as well. Pretty regular progression and only the final boss fight required a bit of grinding to max out our gear. The building is decent and it also boasts the easiest base migration feature ever and doesn't require hauling stuff over and over. I played through this in PvE with 2 friends and had practically zero network issues. I can't speak for how the game plays solo or on a PvP server (and I don't think I'd actually enjoy or even play it in PvP), but we had fun and the game and were able to comfortably sink 50 hours into this.

I find the game is alright, quite addictive trying to improve get stonger and build a epic castle. I spent a lot of time just building.Movement is terrible, so slow to get around. You don't get a horse until the second act. You can only see a horses stats when you mount it and it then becomes your horse from yellow text of it listed as horse to blue text when it's yours. I kept mounting every horse I came across until I found one with high stats and then chose to name my horse. Every horse you've mounted is considered owned by you.Only problem is it shows every owned horse as a horse symbol on the map, which makes it very hard to find the one you wanted to keep if you get dismounted and try to escape an enemy you aren't ready to face yet. I could not find my horse again, I think it may have been killed. So I spent a long time taking all the horses I didn't want to the iron cave to have them killed by the rock elementals so that I can only keep one good one and get rid of the rest. To make my horse easier to find. I wish there was a option to unown horses you don't want as even without food the timer for them living is 16 hours. And much more for previous horses I gave full stacks of food to and once you give them food you aren't able to remove it. And you aren't able to kill your own horses. There is not much to **** has tutorial like quests of what to do so you can unlock powers and items to progress.Just gather materials to improve gear and build castle so can fight a boss to improve gear and eventually fight the next boss. That's all the gameplay loop is, it's ok if you like it but does get boring. There's not a lot of variety in what you can ****'s quite fun if somewhat linear and boring. By Act 2 it's not as fun or enjoyable **** gameplay loop is **** world feels kind of empty and alone and not alive if you just play solo PVE as there is no story or any NPC's you can help or befriend. There aren't any missions or much else to do there is no depth to this game. It's a fairly average game. Pretty much everything you come across wants to kill you. There are no friendly **** don't see any friendly vampire NPCs, just humans who view you as a enemy, enemy draculin vampires or the neutral merchants you can buy from, undead enemies and just other **** can enthrall humans and some draculin to be servants, but they stay at your castle and can't follow you around or into battle. You use those to send to hunt areas to gather materials or to defend your castle if you do ****'s probably more fun with others or for those who like ****'s fun for a while but basic fun. I can't recommend a game that is too boring to keep playing.I'd rate it 6/10.

An underappreciated masterpiece, a very detailed and beautiful game. This developer's other game was equally good, but this one is on a whole other level. Loot crafting, boss fights, map exploration, tower design, visuals, and skill building are all very successful.

If you're into the survival crafting genre, action RPGs, or vampires in general, V Rising is an absolute blast, alone or with others.

I genuinely believe that V Rising has a complete product for almost any type of player. The only reason you shouldn't give it a chance is if you absolutely don't like survival games. The only thing I would like it to have a bit more of is variety in the boss movements (especially in the first half of the game) and more variety in the music, but at least one of those complaints is addressed by the Brutal mode in this version 1.0.

One of the best and most unique gaming experiences I’ve had in 40 years. Bosses are challenging and the gameplay is top notch. Absolutely love the aesthetic. This game really shines when playing others. The developers consistently put out great updates. If they keep if up this game is going to be massive and it’s already pretty large. I would love for the developers to bring a tower defense element to the castles. Thank you stunlock studios you guys are the best!

V Rising, now out of early access, is much more addictive than befor, albeit with some minor rough edges.

In a “Diabolic” tone, V Rising takes us on a hunt for demons, undead and mythological beasts; in a world where vampires don't control everything. Hiding from the sun has never been so fun in this survival adventure where we are promised long hours of play.

V Rising offers something distinct, and pretty cookie cutter at the same time. It’s a survival game, but with a novel genre blend meant to attract a different kind of audience. There’s a lot of these, but V Rising brings the action-RPG and gothic styles to the table in a way that feels unique. So that’s fun, but the survival and crafting part is about as boilerplate as it gets. Therefore, if you’re the type of person that shrivels up and shrieks at survival game systems like a vampire considering the concept of brunch, V Rising won’t change your mind. But if you can hang with the concept and also enjoy some Diablo-like combat, having those two things together in one game is pretty rad.

The core strength of the game lies in its gameplay loop—it’s genuinely enjoyable and keeps you engaged with constant goals to chase. That said, things can start to feel a bit dull once you hit the point where grinding for recipes becomes necessary. The boss fights are a definite highlight, each one offering a fresh and sometimes tough challenge that adds real excitement.Building your base is fairly intuitive and can be a lot of fun if you’re into that side of things, though it does require some motivation to really get creative—especially when you have to deal with the slightly frustrating task of rearranging your base. Resource farming, particularly between your castle and the mines, often involves a lot of repetitive back-and-forth running, which can get tiring.Visually, the game has a stylish and appealing design that fits its atmosphere well. One downside is that if you're not on a larger server, the game might pause when you're not actively playing, which can interrupt the flow.

While the survival building aspect is fun (but grindy as fk), the other half of the game, the combat is absolute ****, you have 2 weapon skills, 2 spells that you get to chose, one dodge, one ultimate and that's it... was this design to be played on a fking snes controller ? The dodge is on an 8 seconds cooldown, and you can equip a barrier spells that's also on an 8 seconds cooldown, while enemies, especially bosses, spam their skills like they're playing with all cheats on, and are bullet sponges. The result is that every fking fight is basically just a stat check and extremely repetitive. I loved the concept and really tried my best to like the game but there's just too many terrible game design decisions, I don't get how it got so popular while you have games like Riftbreaker and literally a dozen of Arpg released each year that are better than this.

Boring grindy gameplay, terrible optimisation, one of the worst bosses design I've ever seen. Complete disappointment.
