A must-own puzzler. [Dec 2016, p.89]

A thoroughly engrossing puzzle game. [Issue#180, p.47]

The tower of blocks that is Tumble VR is built on very unstable puzzles. If you keep on building, you will definitely find some beautiful things, but you might have stopped playing before that happens.

Tumble VR builds on the successful formula found in the original PlayStation Move title, with virtual reality greatly adding to the experience.

Surprisingly addictive and satisfying. A lot of content for the lower price point. Would recommend to anyone and everyone, my favourite VR launch game by far.

Tumble VR is enjoyable and works well with a PlayStation Move controller. It's as good a way as any to kill some time.

Not the most attention grabbing of the PSVR launch titles, but a competent puzzler, that offers a more mellow VR experience.

A clever puzzle game that make great use of the VR effect. But the control scheme has something broken and its appeal is limited.

Tumble VR improves upon the original Tumble with all manner of new puzzles and a cute versus mode. It’s also a game which makes total sense for playing within the PSVR. There’s something about placing blocks with your own “hands” that just feels better than other puzzlers. The caveat, of course, is if your controller also exhibits the weird shakiness in-game from time to time, which makes it totally annoying rather than an amusing experience.

We’re mostly just stacking blocks in Tumble VR, and that’s rarely going to be exciting. Even when it challenged me with head-scratching feats of structural engineering it bored me with the mundanity of its theme. Adding onto that some of the PlayStation VR’s inherent limitations with tracking, and it was as often frustrating as rewarding.

I expected Tumble to be just about stacking blocks, but was surprised to find a few different modes such as measured explosions (try and blow a stack of blocks as far as possible with a limited number of bombs) and and laser light bounce off levels. For the price of entry this is well worth the money. The Tumble PSVR immersion is both cool and comfortable and the game has a real one-more-go factor about it. Recommended.

This game is fun in fairly short bursts. Playing for more than an hour at a time will probably bore you, but it's always fun to come back to and continue on a few more levels. It's a pretty simple game so what is there looks good. Great textures to make you believe that the blocks are actually made of the material they claim to be made of. I haven't finished the game yet but so far the puzzles are all fairly straight forward. I'm still hoping for more of a challenge in coming zones, if there are indeed more zones after Zone 5. A solid little game to add to your VR collection.

I know we're all excited for VR, and I'm trying to be as positive as I can be with Tumble VR. The tracking is fairly reliable, and some of the block stacking puzzles are a bit interesting, but ultimately, it's just a dull experience. You're stacking blocks in VR. This is the kind of thing that I could do in REALITY and really it would be the same general experience. Fairly dull. If 5 out of 10 is an average game, this isn't even a 5, because it's barely a video game. It's a practice in monotony with a little bit of puzzle element.
