Enfin bon, bref, quelle bouse ni faite ni à faire !

Better than Forza Horizon 6
that game pretends to be a JDM Car Culture game meanwhile this TXR is made by people who know, respect and were part the culture
I dont understand why some people say its boring because you race in the highway, thats the point, its called Shutokou Battle for a reason but i wont attack people for they opinion♂️

Boring, brain afk wallride slop, there's even a wallride perk. But it's mostly just going fast in a straight line down the Expressway. Jankier than the old PS2 TXR games. Genki used to make great racing games, Kaido and Racing Battle C1 GP, but this ain't it.

We really needed a simple racing game like this between a sea of boring sim racing games and boring racing festival **** feels a breath of fresh air playing this game.

I really admire the intention behind rebooting the Tokyo Xtreme Racer franchise, but this is not the way to do it. There is far too little content and variety here to justify a $50 price tag. It is more on par with a $10 to $20 title. You are completely on-rails at all times and cannot explore the city. There are just a few routes you can take, and they get boring very quickly. Races are generally predetermined by the speed stat of the opposing car and you either lose or win without effort. Races are also monotonous and repetitive and get boring after the first few. There are no interesting or unique mechanics that set this apart from a generic PS2 racer. When rebooting a classic franchise, it is important to bring something new to the table. Other than high-resolution textures, there is nothing to set this apart from PS2 racers. I don’t recommend this one when there are a huge variety of games from Burnout Paradise to Need for Speed that offer much more variety and go on sale for the $10 to $20 that this should cost. I would strongly recommend avoiding this, and if you feel you must have that nostalgia fulfilled, wait until it’s at least 60% off.

Joyless is the word I would use to describe Tokyo Xtreme Racer, a game I got back in early access with the idea of it just being a simply fun arcade racing experience. Sadly, while the "arcade" and "racing" parts were definitely there, it seems like they completely forgot the "fun" part. I wasn't able to get much time in this game before I simply put it down for good out of sheer boredom. In that time, I was able to engage with a bunch of races and a boss or two, and every single race felt like it was over before it even started. Maybe this game gets better after the first few hours, but if your game can't even keep the player engaged for the first few hours then you have a serious problem.

The usual mess **** made with the infamous UE5, featuring frankly ridiculous graphics compared to the demanding hardware requirements. Apart from the cars, the game world looks all the same and straight out of the PS2 era. Engine sounds are okay, but everything else is awful. The driving model is extremely arcade-like, with embarrassingly bad collisions against walls and other cars.
If you can get past that, there are plenty of typical Japanese cars, the tuning and visual customization aspects are quite well done, and the concept of highway battles is well executed — it really makes you want to challenge the next opponent.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer is not really a fun experience. I do not understand the hype behind PS2 era graphics. If I want Nostalgia I will just boot up my old PS2 or Nintendo. I am in my mid 40's and have played these games already. I want to experience what current technology is capable of. So this game is very boring because ALL you do is drive around doing head-to-head matches with randos back to back, one after the other. The city is boring, the races are boring, and the car customization is no where near as fun as Forza.

The best modern arcade racer we have gotten in years. Very straight to the point, and generally fun overall.
The game is not perfect, but Genki is a company that listens to the fans.

Dont believe good reviews they are from dev, family, bots and paid utubers.
Even free even watch it on utube not worth it, play one of ps2 series instead cheaper and alot of better. very repetitive very expensive unpolished simple very linere small map race ai game, awful simple very repetitive level, flip assets ui, flip asset buildings, bad ai sound effect, rip off Initial D ai music and annoying glitches.
