Nothing I have ever played before can even come close to the level of detail or gameplay as this. It is a game unlike any other.

You get to use more weapons in Time Commando than in any other game I've ever seen, incidentally, because each time era (of which there are heaps carries its own unique selection.

While all of the weapons are fun, the best part of the combat is the enemies. There have got to be well over 100 different kinds of enemies to fight against. Each one is beautifully designed and animated, from saber toothed tigers and cavemen to robots and alien cyborgs.

What sets this game apart from the pack is its depth: the number and variety of its enemies, weapons, and levels are unmatched.

Once you get over the clumsy movements, the single-direction game flow, and the annoying pixel searches, this game is a lot of fun and looks very nice... The team responsible for the graphics, both pre-rendered and real-time, deserves a pat on the back for a job well done.

It has amazing rendered visuals, well-animated polygonal characters, and it mixes a story-based adventure game with a fighting game... The design is not entirely without merit; it just doesn't excel and, like most hybrid games, risks failing to appeal enough to fans of either genre.

Absolute classic! and extremely underrated video game, i think most gamers don't even know this gem exists. It was ahead of time in many ways, boss fights, time travel, different eras, absolutely amazing graphics by 1996 standards. This game looks better than both Tomb Raider 1996 and Resident Evil 1996 and it came out BEFORE Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider came out in October, Time Commando came out in July. Amazing classic game, obviously outdated by todays standards, but even then, it's more playable than both RE1 and TR in terms of combat and controls. Would recommend!

What nostalgia! Such a great game. I remember why I liked it, and was desperate to always play it at my friends' house when I went over. The settings are awesome! Especially the Medieval one. One other review mentioned the variety of enemies, and how cool they were- definitely agree! The wide variety of weapons is also really cool and fun- the way they operate is interesting.
However, the graphics have not aged well and the controls are... incredibly janky. This takes some getting used to, and does get you stuck playing the same section over and over- but I think that was the intention, somewhat.
However, these points are minor, as the settings and variety more than make up for it!
Recommend. Just know what you are getting into. Hahaha
