A hellishly hard and ungrateful game. However, it awards the resistant players with addictive strategic heaven with a huge amount of content. [Issue#288]
A game that invigorates with the pure, fierce joy of play that only very best board games can deliver.

This is not a game like "Civilization" that you can enjoy comfortably. The game is more complicated and more rule than chess. Rules and strategies are different concepts; the rules of Go and Chess are simple, but they accomplish many strategies with them; they are therefore very classic but loved. Because of this, the two classic games can easily move from rule to strategy. But the rules of this game are very many and that creates a lot of strategies: various cards have many rules, which can change the flow of the game in an instant. Also, the game itself has many detailed rules that are forced; this makes beginners spend a lot of time knowing the rules, not the strategies. They don't even know what mistakes they made in the floods of the rules. For example, I have the same military power as Ai, but some event cards have a negative impact on me only. I felt that this was irrational and because of the secret rules of games that cannot be learned in tutorials, yes, I have to read the rulebook, not the strategy of the game. If you've spent a lot of time getting to know the rules of the game almost all the time, it might be fun: That's why many board gamers love this game.

Interesting mix of cards and board multiplayer gameplay in a historical setting.

Fantastic little civ-like game that strips out the tedium and grind of a long campaign and keeps the fun, interesting strategy. I am hooked. Instead of one more turn, it's now one more game :) If you like civ you should play this game.
