I enjoyed the game, thought the graphics needed more polish but i heard it was made by one person so that is pretty cool, i think this developer is one to watch. looking forward to the free dlc that they promised

I really enjoyed the story that was present in the game because it keeps you hooked from start to finish and it also throws in a few surprises as well. The presentation side of the game isn’t perfect I felt that both the visuals and sound design created a very good eerie atmosphere. The survival mode in the game gives the game a little bit in terms of replayability and it’s pretty fun when played in short bursts. Technically the game suffers with a number of problems and these do hold the game back quite considerably. There isn’t enough variety present in the game and this does mean that the gameplay does become repetitive almost immediately. The controls that have been implemented are sluggish and don’t always feel responsive which is very frustrating. The game is a little scary in parts it’s ultimately not scary enough and you do feel a little let down in the end. I didn’t enjoy the shooting elements in the game because each gun you use fails to pack a punch. The horror genre has a wide array of different game’s for you to try out, but without a doubt the most popular aspect of this specific genre is its survival elements. When these elements have been done right then you tend to have a hard time forgetting about that said game and ultimately if you’re a fan of the survival-type setting you end up enjoying the said game immensely. The One We Found is at its core a survival game but despite a few brief moments where it shines it ultimately fails in a number of areas. The biggest problem with this game for me is its persistent technical problems and when you combine that with the sluggish controls that are present throughout you tend to get frustrated often and in the end you forget about the game’s decent story. It also isn’t scary enough as well and whilst it offers you a pretty good survival mode the shooting elements hold this particular mode back because every gun feels and performs in the same way. At the end of the day then I can’t recommend The One We Found to you because the game just has too many shortcomings and when it’s all said and done there’s a lot better game’s in this genre for you to get to grips with.

The One We Found is a good indie title which will please anyone looking for some survival horror fun. I have seen a couple of reviews which i thought were quite unfair so i decided to give my 2cents. The one we found is an enjoyable title for a game that is only £16.74 , The story is interesting, I love the atmosphere and overall i had a great time playing the game which i have completed. There is some issues although nothing that hindered my gameplay too much, Controls were a bit clunky but i liked them after a while, but hey the developer said in a live stream that they have 12 months of FREE content and will be continually updating the game. I would give The One We Found an 8/10 for an One man indie title

The One We Found is a fantastic indie title which will please anyone looking for some Halloween survival horror. I was lucky enough to get my hands on The One We Found before release and I have to say it's an incredible achievement. Most games developed by a single person don't usually offer such immersion and tactical gameplay. but The One We Found doesn't just offer a genuine challenge, but the immersion to keep you on the edge of your seat and petrified of that eerie music that surrounds Harmony. While many games rely on a one trick-pony, The One We Found uses exploration, puzzles and varied enemies that force you to take a different approach, time and time again. It's great to have weapons, but the essence of Harmony (being invincible) forces good old fashioned stealth and avoidance. I would really expect this game to cost £30, but at £16.74 ($19.99) It's great value for money. The campaign alone will take most people 8-10 hours to get through, depending how thoroughly you search your surroundings and how quickly you find those all important clues and survival mode offers countless hours of praying you get anywhere near your best score. Graphically, there's a little room for improvement but I was pleased to hear the devs will soon be releasing 4K textures, with ALL future DLC being completely free. The survival mode is also a great addition, I found the different locations, each offering a different approach to other wave based, survival and horde modes, and it's certainly not simple as anyone who passes the easy first 5 waves will find out. I can imagine some people will expect the next resident evil, but while you wait for Resi 2 remake, this is a great nod to the classic survival horror genre.
