A tribute to the Fumito Ueda will delight the veterans of the original game same as introduce this classic to the newcomers, who are not tuned on a nostalgic note. An ideal opportunity to improve your video game education and a wonderful experience in the same time. Some clumsy controls and occasionally stubborn camera can’t ruin the great experience.

Perfectly polished and improved cult game – even with better controls! Killing giant monsters has never been so much (melancholic) fun. [Issue#283]

It’s a good remaster, but frankly I find it unnecessary. Those who have already played the game on PS2 or PS3 will find nothing new here, and those who didn’t have the chance to get acquainted with it probably will not understand what we saw in Shadow of the Colossus 12 years ago, when gaming reality was completely different. good remake of the original but its too short and simple these days. would recommend playing but do not expect anything too special. atmosphere is by far the best part about the game. fighting the monsters and then getting tpd back to the start over and over again kinda gets repetitive.

There is nothing better than killing giants and a great variety of them, something worthy of respect, it has a simple problem: the camera, but you can get used to it... This is a game to say the least, a masterpiece worthy of positive evaluation.

I loved fighting with the colossus. The developers did a great job programming this battles. However the map is so empty that it feels it misses something

A fresh coat of paint spruces up an already timeless classic that still feels like a breath of fresh air today. [March 2018, p.70]

While Bluepoint has made a lot of improvements, the core game, the soul of it, remains unchanged, as I mentioned earlier. As Wander, you’re trying to resurrect a young girl whose body you have carried to the Shrine of Worship. The gods that be are willing to help, but you must first defeat all of the colossi (the number of which I don’t want to spoil). Few games can have such a simple premise and gameplay design, yet are flat out good enough, timeless enough, to be remastered — twice. So, whether you have played SOTC before or not, you can rest assured it’s an all-time classic, and that for the PS4, Bluepoint has done a fantastic job with this remaster.

Holy ****, I've never played a game that is set up like this. A loved one dies now go and kill 16 ginormous beings to redeem and keep your legacy. I love that the game gets straight to the point with the added bonuses of not having to upgrade your gear and not having extra enemies, just pure unadulterated focus on the task at hand. I wish more games would do this, hell.... they should make a genre similar to this where it's just one focus, no extra enemies for play time's sake, just the goal and that's it. Gaming was just better pre-2018. The originality in the PS2 days was another monster.

I’ve come to appreciate the realistic look of Colossus, which felt crass at first, but has over time expressed a warmth that I never quite felt from its predecessor. But it’s still respectful, recognizing that, however great the visuals, the magic is under the surface.

The concept of Shadow of the Colossus is unique and full of charm. The remastered version on PS4 is remarkable, which means it is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to try it, no matter whether you are an existing fan or a new player. However, Fumito Ueda's works are always a little bit cult, so it is also understandable if you may not get into this game.

Even though Blueprint have re-made everything from the graphics to the animations they’ve manage to not only make Shadow of the Colossus playable in 2018, but also to keep the feeling from the original game – and added some great extra features on top of that. One of the best remakes ever made.

The work done by Bluepoint Games for Shadow of the Colossus shows their skills and awareness. The remake is surprising and offers a lot of graphic customization, proving to be beautiful to see. The game is full of gorgeous graphic effects and runs at high performance, loosing a little bit the charm of the original title, which remains unchanged in its story and game content.

The best way to experience Shadow of the Colossus — play a couple of levels at a friend’s or use the Share Play function. This game was a hit in its time, on its original platform, but we all moved on, and now the remastered version feels archaic, especially its gameplay.

I like it BUT I think the design of the collusi/levels is outdated. I also think the platforming ****. The story and music is great tho.

Malgré ma note sévère, je recommande de jouer à Shadow of the Colossus.Pourquoi ?

It's a game of 2005 yar, not of 2018 year. The main difficulty of this game is to cope with the controls and the camera. Sometimes it's hard to understand if a character should be able to get there or if it's just bad level design. There was good idea use a small number of mechanics with large number of different enemies. But the implementation for 2018 is just terrible
