Revolgear Zero looks like a familiar old-school shooter at first, but quickly reveals itself as a dense, high-energy balancing act where grazing, melee bit throws, burst beams, and item chasing all feed into one exhilarating rhythm. With tons of unlockable loadouts, smart stage variety, and even chaotic co-op, it’s a confident evolution of Bikkuri Software’s ideas that rewards bold, aggressive play and will keep genre fans fully engaged.

Revolgear Zero is an excellent shoot 'em up that you'll literally have a blast with as you unlock parts and fully customise your ship.

Revolgear Zero is an enjoyable and satisfying retro shmup experience that will undoubtedly satisfy the genre's biggest fans. It's nowhere near as challenging as some of the genre's juggernauts, nor is it as impressive, but there's still plenty to enjoy here, especially at a discounted price tag. I just wish there were more to see and do in Revolgear Zero to attract those who aren't hardcore shump fans.

Pure Nintendo
Revolgear Zero goes beyond the token shoot’ em up in many ways. Its weapon system has depth, and what it lacks in length, it makes up for in replayability. It’s a fun game to play solo, and even more fun in co-op. I’ll keep an eye on Bikkuri Software and hope their next Nintendo release will have its glitches ironed out.
