Combat is ok, but once the enemies get harder out of nowhere, makes it near impossible to progress & have fun, becomes very difficult later on, the stealing core concept is cool though. Upgrading your robot companions is cool. Navigation in this bare desert wasteland is annoying & boring, the platforming is too clunky to be enjoyable, the story didn't interest me in all, the audio log collecting & cutscenes are skippable in my opinion. I played the re-released edition & it still had a bunch of issues, including enemies getting stuck in walls, & platforming button prompts not working forcing you to quit the game to main menu & reload your file, this happened multiple times in my 7 hour playthrough, yes I gave up on the game 7 hours in, not worth my time.

I'm only a few hours in. Been trying quite a few games off game pass today and this was the most fun by a **** paper I should hate this game. I'm not a fan of exploration, platforming, shooters, or even the tone, music , or these type of backdrops and scenery but this was a lot of fun. It gives me plenty to do, values my time and offers enough variance through the exploring, platforming and shooting that none of them are outstaying their welcome. It has been a really enjoyable time so far. Controls are incredibly smooth. You do some big jumps and dashes and always land where you intend to. Traversing is fast. It's not overly simple so as to be boring but also doesn't require finger gymnastics. For me all the elements just work and it looks and plays really nicely. It does have a bit of pop in but it's not too intrusive, or immersion breaking. I was giving up hope on game pass for today and this was a really nice find. Great game. I think considering the review scores on some of the pretty **** games I've played today that the scores for this are not a great reflection of the game. I didn't find it average at all. I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Don't believe the ratings this game is pretty good, a gem that was hidden by the trash reviewers in this site have.

Me encantó en su día, compré la edición definitiva en físico y no me arrepentí en absoluto, juego muy del estilo Soul Reaver o Darksiders 2 en lo que a mundo evolución del personaje y desbloqueo de niveles se refiere. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

Quick background on me the reviewer, I tend to like single player games that is heavy on narrative the most. I also play a lot of racing games and use to play multiplayer games in my high school days but now that it's hard for me and my friends to find a good time to link up so now it’s more rare for me to get into a multiplayer game. Up to try any genre of games and sometimes I find something new that I didn't think I'd like. I own a PC (built by me), Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, PS3, PS4, PS5, and a Switch. I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of coursed influenced by my personal opinions. (7) Average. The game’s feature may work, but are nothing that even causal players haven’t seen before. Nothing sticks out in this game. Graphics, gameplay, and story is fine just nothing remunerable about this game.

The game is almost unacceptably ugly but its quite fun I just wish there was a sequel or a remake with better visuals

A feeling of isolation in a desolate, intriguing world. Novel fighting mechanics, brilliant platforming, superb pet robot mechanics/switchable companions. There is a real sense of wonder and exploration here, a fantastic sense of mystery and a need/addictive loop that pushes the player forward. If this game was full price, maybe it is a 7/8, but at t half price? Amazing value

Aunque llegue algo **** para jugar este juego me parecio un muy buen juego, en lo principal me encantaron sus mecanicas tanto de combate como de movimiento eso si por los nuevos juegos que hay a la fecha su apartado artístico no me llamo mucho la atención y el mismo juego se siente inacabado en temas como la historia que tal vez se prodria arreglar en una secuela lo cual lo veo poco probable

After playing 6+ hours, would highly applaud the platforming. Jumping feels like the boujeeiest butter on the crispiest toast. So fun to zoom around that you can forgive the lack of variety in environments. Also loved the character design of the robot companions and their bright personalities. Combat overall was very enjoyable and frantic; however, the game did suffer from an unnecessary RPG leveling system that makes you grind to level your robots.

This game would be awesome if it had only focused on being an indi game. Combat is basic even when platforming is great. I stopped playing before entering the Warren because it asked me 16 cores, I wouldn't have a problem getting them but it's so damn tedious and I was getting boooored asf. I remember getting 150 Golden bricks in Lego Avengers and it was awesome, but getting cores here is boring that I was falling asleep. I really wanted to finish this game but story is not that interesting to balance the basic combat system and poor mechanics. If it was a 4 or 5 hours game it would've been nice.

ReCore is a game that I feel does not get the credit that it deserved. I enjoyed the game quite a bit. Just playing it recently after it being out for a few years now. The game has a 60fps boost on the Series X making the game run really smooth. I enjoyed going through the world and exploring the dungeons and collecting as many cores that I could get along the way. Having a friendly bot that you can customize through your journey was nice and I really enjoyed the combat system. My only gripe with this game while I enjoyed most of what it had to offer. The end sequence to me seemed a little drawn out and annoying at times as the gameplay loop was a little to repetitive for my tastes. Still if you are on the fence on playing this game I would say give it a try and see for yourself. I know that I am glad that I gave the game a chance!

I never really understood the hate for this game. It had damn fun gameplay and a really good progression system that made leveling up your bots really satusfying.. The store and the cute red head space girl was also a high point.. I guess the whole game was one big desert level and a change in environment about half wayvthrough the game woukd have been nice. But ovetall I liked it. it wasnt long and bloated like many new games ans iliked most of the character which is rarethese days.

I am absolutely shocked by the low ratings! This game is so much fun, it completely modernizes a new combat style that relies on quick thinking and multitasking over the standard shooter format, the setting is impressive, the story is fun, and the characters are engaging. The load times are long, but beyond that there isn't really a problem with this game. I didn't find the gameplay repetitive at all, unlike what some of the reviews have said. Really quite well done for a unique and original IP and I hope that Microsoft sees the value in it and gives us a high-budget sequel.

Very good video game, graphically it is fine on an Xbox one, although sometimes the framerate is not fluid (on an Xbox one s), it is not very frequent but it does happen a few times. in terms of design there is hardly any variety, nor does it have a not-so-memorable soundtrack (at least for me). Regarding the gameplay is really good, there is a wide variety of actions that we can do with our robots. and as a platform game, it is really entertaining

Gostei muito do jogo, achei ótima a jogabilidade e história. A dificuldade em algumas plataformas é um pouco exagerada, mas nada que muitas tentativas não resolvam. O que me desapontou foram as quedas de FPS e os loadings extremamente longos em algumas partes. Fora isso, o jogo é ótimo. Merece uma continuação.

I think the game could be more fun. I decided not to finish it because of the roadblock that requires collecting plasmatic cores. I don't think this was a good implementation of exploring requirements. This is sad.

Recore is an utter trainwreck. As I'm doing a marathon of all Xbox One exclusives, this one sticks out like a broken thumb and not just a sore one. The combat is incredibly tedious and repetitive as you just lock on, maybe switch the color your weapon is firing, maybe take out the core from the enemy, rinse and repeat. Visually, the game just looks incredibly low budget, with awful character models, and poor looking textures. I had to force myself to finish this game and by the end, I was done. Despite it being on Game Pass, don't even bother with it, it's simply not worth your time.

Le doy un 10 para compensar el hate inecesario, el juego es un 8,5 el gampley es muy bueno y divertido, la historia no está mal, los personajes son carismáticos (por lo menos uno te tiene que caer bien), los gráficos están decentes, la dificultad está bastante bien, lo único malo es que hay bugs que están muy mal, algunos no me dejaban terminar la mazmorra y otros eran visuales y otro error es a son los tiempos de carga que duran 1 minuto (no todos, pero la mayoría), igual, en teoría los bugs fueron arreglados en la actualización (yo lo jugué sin actualizar) En resumen, recore es un juego muy bueno y recomendable

Adoro o jogo. Ambiente espetacular. Antes do update com várias melhorias e atualizacoes era um jogo mediano, depois ficou fantásrico. Artwork fabuloso.

Fun platformer, a lot of grinding a few camera issues but a fun experience.

Este juego me crea sensaciones opuetas, por un lado es divertido, pero se hace pesado y repetitivo, graficamente no sorprende en nada, la jugabilidad si que es bastante entretenida. El final parecia que nunca llegaba, me dio la sensación que intentaban alargarlo de manera absurda, haciendo que recojas un determinado numero de orbes para llegar al boss final. Un juego agridulce.

Underrated af, it's better than people think. That's my opinion, you can say all you want, but you got to play it first.

The good: A very solid 3D exploration platform. With Collecta-ton characteristics in large interconnected areas. Third person shooting mechanics with colors to mark weaknesses. The 4K enhancement patch X makes the game look much better than it does in trailers and video reviews. It's on the Xbox Game Pass. The Definitive Edition includes the T8NK (Tank) robot to facilitate movement in the dunes, a robot that does not come in the normal version of the game. Very replayable (looking for materials through the dunes and trying to reach areas of the map that were previously inaccessible with the help of CoreBots. Crafting. Julie Adams and their expressions. The bad: Loading times (Only applies to Xbox One Fat and Xbox One S). The poorly worked textures only apply in the normal version of the game. After the third elevator, you just want to roam the desert to upgrade your CoreBots and forget about the final boss and the story. The intense crafting. The Meh!: The requirements for getting more and more Cores and reaching the top to face the final boss indicate that they completely forgot about the script and story and focused on gameplay. An IP that many throw **** at, but very few have really enjoyed. Many animations of the character (dash, air dash, skate in the arena, run in the arena, etc.) and enemies are suspiciously similar to 2B of Nier Automata

No tiene una historia que te ****, y más que todo tiene un frame rate asqueroso, unas bajadas horrible en Xbox one, un juego con mucho potencial pero desperdiciado

Don't normally write reviews but wanted to throw some positive love to the developers of this game. It's way under rated here. It's available currently on game pass and I'm really digging it. It's open world with a bunch of fun/challenging dungeons and the emotional bond you form with your little mechanical pets is real. This game is far better than whatever 6.7 it currently has here... Give it a try, I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised like I am.

O jogo é legal e bem divertido, a história é interessante mas tive bastante problemas com os chefões, várias vezes bugados e a única coisa possível de se fazer era reiniciar a fase e os puzzles na minha opinião são meio confusos e as vezes quase impossíveis de se fazer.

Buen juego de plataformas, le falta pulido y un modo a 60 fps en xbox one x, pero tiene una jugabilidad y unas mazmorras excelentes, además de la acertada incorporación de los robots.

I remember watching the Microsoft E3 2015 press conference live with friends and being astounded when Recore was revealed with a beautiful CGI trailer. At last I thought this was the break xbox one had been searching for. An interesting premise which looked fully AAA and legendary game creator keiji inafune at the helm, I thought there was no way Microsoft could mess this up, and finally after so long, xbox had found it's next biggest franchise. Time moved on and no news came. But then E3 2016 came around and we were all anticipating the gameplay reveal; sadly thats where recore's story goes downhill. The game looked far from AAA and not very appealing. Some aspects were cool but we were left wanting more. The game got it's September release date and now the wait was on. Recore launched to mediocre reviews and they are all warranted. Some moments of the game, like its fun dash move and platforming were surprisingly fun! But overall the game was very repetitious not only in gameplay but in it's world. Not to mention, to fully beat the game you were required to grind extensively for cores just to continue progressing. The characters can be fun and you enjoy having your robot companions fight along side you while also upgrading their armor and attacks. The game ultimately falls flat but the potential is there. With more money and a larger scope recore could be an interesting franchise for xbox. Sadly with Microsofts recent trend, it's safe to say most ip from the xbox one era will never see the light of day again.

This is a fun throwback to old-school platformers. While "Recore" has similarities to Sony's "Horizon Zero Dawn", it has a smaller scale and simpler design. The game plays like a cross between "Metroid Prime" and "Mega Man". At launch, this wasn't too good due to several issues including lengthy loading times. But a year later, the free Definitive Edition update improved it considerably. Fans of story driven action-adventure titles will find it to be enjoyable. I would rate "Recore" with a 6.7 out of 10.
