Pokemon TCG has gone down hill ever since they started banning all the old ones The art work is the only redeeming quality But it's not fun at all due to power creep and that stupid rotation system plus since its online you don't even get the card they're just nfts

Pokemon TCG, it is just way too unbalanced. The artwork is beautiful. Main reason why, is because there are too many unfair broken decks. At first I thought the game would allow you to build anything. That is not the case. Lastly, the trade system is stupid. I don't mind paying but we should at least be able to edit the trade and have it cost have as less. 1 coin per hour is killer. 1 coin per 2 hour much better. Be nice to have a hub avatar world as well.

Gorgeous art but the game is awful, 0 strategy. Each player has to think only about his turn, you have 0 chances to interfere in the opponent's turn.

Extremeley unbalanced. Right after tutorial online players land 3 stage 2 pokemons in turn 3, while I have only 2 stage 1 cards in the deck in general.

Horrible and broken piece of S$%T. I have a huge collection and this game just locks you out. Never ever remembers who you are or what your Password/Username is. Seriously, it just will NEVER EVER help you log in. Always just blatantly is broken and "password is wrong or username is wrong" so you reset it all... and same thing. it just refuses to let me log in. Pokemon Staff are useless and dont care.

The game is fun and plays as expected. It is literally the trading card game - online. While it does have it's moments in battle when you crush a player with a lesser hand or deck than you have, it also becomes rather dull when you realize that most games already have winners chosen from the start. I have seen it happen countless times where either myself or the player against me will not draw any energy cards at all and be forced to sit idly by while getting whopped on or to just hit the concede button. This is especially true for the way OP decks like Mach Strike, where all you need realistically is one Gible and a energy card to evolve into Garchamp and the pain is even worse if you or your opponent has not drawn any energy cards to fight back. So while every now and then you will get the rare experience of a well balanced hand on both players ends', most of the time is spent just hoping you will pull an energy card and a worthwhile Pokemon and also hoping your opponent will too. Unless you are a fan of easy wins and frustrating losses, or a die hard Pokemon TCG fan, you honestly probably will not be as amused by the balance issues the game suffers from. While it can be argued the game is all luck of the draw, the IRL Pokemon TCG matches are typically fairly spot on and balanced, leaving one to wonder if the game suffers from a poor and underdeveloped algorithm or if that "luck of the draw" and lady luck just really, really dislike players online more often than not.

If you like playing pokemon cards then you'll love pokemon tcg online. It's pretty much the card game but online. Plain and simple. Of course because it's online it has a tiny bit more regulations but it's only to help keep the game balance. The only bad thing would be it's matchmaking. Matchmaking pairs you up with anybody so if your new to the game you might end up playing a long time player who will have better cards. Other than that the game is great and completely free which is what makes the game so much better. There's a single player where you play against the AI and can earn booster packs or play against real people and earn rewards there as well. You earn coins in the game that you can use in the shop to buy booster packs and theme decks. They have event which act like mini tournaments giving you a chance to win even more rewards. The other cool thing is if your a pokemon card collector and still buy pokemon cards, the pokemon packs come with a code you can put into the game so you can use in the online game. Note that this is a review is of this time I'm posting it. Does not reflect what the state of the game was when it launched as I did not play it at launch.

very good strategical game if u can make a perfect deck , chance factor will be limited. Very good point, the game has been continuously progressing Only negative issue is this game requires at least 2 MB RAM I think.

Awesome and addicting game. In the next patch there will be major overhaul for UI and graphics which will make the game even better. Good balance, many players, plenty of cards. And most important - You CAN trade with other people so getting cards to Your collection is easy.

This review is only for the Mac version (which I assume to be the same as the PC) Unplayable and horrible deck editor. The game, when you finish the annoying registration process, starts off with absolutely no real instructions on what to do to actually start playing. It does have a tutorial, which only gives instructions on HOW to play, which, for people like me who've played since they were kids, is not necessary. After mousing over the different icons, you see a "play" option, which looks like the typical arrow pointing right. Clicking on it gives you options for battling AI trainers, versus, tournament (which I never tried) and some others which I didn't try. The biggest problem I have is really the deck editor. 95% of this review will be about it: I spent about twenty minutes fiddling around with the deck editor to find out that: 1) All the cards I put in my deck were not even owned by me, somehow 2) My deck was not fit for standard play Firstly, how does this **** game get off by telling me I didn't even own the cards I put in the deck? I used the **** card list shown to me when making a deck! You CAN click on an option to view cards you don't own, but I never clicked on it. As far as I knew, I was using cards I **** owned. Secondly, THERE IS NO OPTION TO VIEW CARDS ONLY FIT FOR STANDARD PLAY! This is a giant detractor for people who actually want to make legal decks for standard play. I used to play pokemon in the past, sure, but I have not been keeping up with the latest packs. Why can't I have an option to view cards ONLY fit for standard play so I can actually play with decks made by me? Thirdly, the deck editor shows very small cards. There is no way to zoom in on a list of cards but rather you must zoom in on each individual card and scroll through. Each pack of pokemon cards contain probably around 100 or so cards, so you'll be scrolling left and right a LOT. It's ****. It's like a brain-dead child video game developer designed this with absolutely no goddamn functionality in mind. Fourthly, The deck editor's decks don't even matter when battling AIs, because you use "themed" decks against them. In fact, you can only use your deck against people. And if it's not standard, good **** luck with tournaments. Why can't I simply use my deck against AIs in a story mode? Speaking of which... No story mode. No fighting gym leaders. No beating AIs to earn packs and open them to edit your deck. None of that. It's really, really backwards. You all are better off downloading gameboy color emulator and downloading the ONLY good pokemon game made by Nintendo once upon a time ago. Seriously, these guys made such a **** good pokemon game in the past that I played and replayed over and over because it was that good. But not this game. I don't know what this game is, but it's not a pokemon card game. That's for sure.

Please note that I've only played the PC version, never the iOS. If you already play the physical card game and you have code cards lying around, this game is a great experience that I highly recommend. If you don't, however, probably steer clear. You obtain cards by entering those code cards into your account, or buying them with virtual money earned in-game (Though you're given a few free starter decks). If you're trying to make a deck with nothing but the cards you've purchased in-game, the game is probably going to ****. but if you're a Pokémon TCG veteran, this is a great alternative to the game when you're alone. It's fun, it's free, (kinda) and now it's on the app store.

Normally, I love Pokemon. They have had many great games over the years done by Game Freak, Hudson Soft, Chunsoft and Creatures Inc. But the Pokemon TCG Online, while I can say I have not played the iOS version (because I am not for phone games at all), I have at least played the PC version. And unfortunately it suffers from many problems. It has horrible A.I, honestly the computer controlled characters don't play well at all and there is no challenge to beating them. There is a tournament mode, which I'd really like to try out but I can't because these things are never on! I have tried for about half an hour! You'll never know when one is on! It ****, because you just have to get lucky! Believe me, the highlight of this game which is facing other people is better done in real life. In the virtual game, people will forget to play specific cards, they will occasionally be idle and it won't be moving fast enough to how you want! And that's simply because playing this game and many others is going to make you unaware. Oh, and with the trades you don't have too much of a choice. You can't just freely trade whatever stuff you want, which makes no sense since you can trade any card in the real world. I personally do not recommend this game. It also lacks replayability and lastability. Which is a huge surprise as it's a multiplayer online game. You should always want to play these games! The rest of the game is average. Well, know you know how much of a mixed trashbag the Pokemon Company and not Game Freak puts out!
