Pocket Trains starts off as a fun game, where you build a railroad empire starting with a few trains and gradually expanding to a lot more. But there's little incentive in the game to keep playing, while it's nice to get new and faster trains that can take more cargo, it's easy to get bored of it fairly quickly.

Like many new iPad games, Pocket Trains is a free game to play but an expensive game to be successful at. Unlike prior Nimblebit titles like Tiny Tower, getting "bux" is no longer a luxury and is basically a necessity to expand your railroad empire. Unfortunately, "bux" seem to be much harder to come by than in previous Nimblebit games, which practically forcing you to either buy a bunch of them, wait forever for them to randomly appear, or give up in disgust. I choose the latter option.
