One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is unfortunately not the hero this city deserves… or needs. While it does a good job of capturing the aesthetic and charm of the One Punch Man universe via its cast of recognisable characters and suitably ludicrous character customisation, it doesn't quite hold its own as a video game. Instead, it stumbles in its presentation, content and, crucially, it's combat. With more of a focused vision on what it wanted to be it might have been able to set itself apart, but this is sadly not the case here.

Faithfully recreated hero characters and a scenario that makes it feel like you have been transported to the original manga are great for fans of the series. However, repetitive battles and a bad difficulty balance ruin what could have been a great experience otherwise.

Despite flashy visuals and a relatively entertaining story mode, One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows's fighting mechanics are shallow and unsatisfying.

One Punch Man's biggest problem is that it doesn't do enough with the IP to make a satisfying game. Rather than playing the overpowered Saitama (for balance reasons), you play as a created character going through the events of the anime. And while there is a variety of styles, they don't really play too differently aside from the special moves you can equip. The visual style of OPM translates incredibly well, but you'll have experienced everything the game has to offer very early on into the game. Only really buy it if you love OPM, and can get it on sale.

Worthy of a Class-A Hero! One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a solid fighting game experience wrapped in nostalgia and callbacks to the animated source material. Fans of the anime will love to be able to play as their favorite characters and add their own flair to this over the top world of heroes and monsters. Despite some drawbacks the game is a fun way to immerse yourself in the world of One Punch Man and feel like a true Hero.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a fun arena fighter that lacks the punch it needed, with a clunky movement system and repetitive mission types.

Saitama's fans are the primary target for this good-looking tie-in that lacks a decent mission design and feels like a monotonous and dull action game.

If you are a fan of One Punch Man you’ll probably get a kick out of A Hero Nobody Knows but don’t expect it to keep you playing long. For every minute of brilliance there is an hour of grinding to go along with it, and that’s trying even for the most dedicated fans of the Caped Baldy.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is aimed firmly at the target audience of games such as Jump Force. It finds subtle ways to translate One Punch Man’s comical lore into gameplay but forgets to polish the central experience before padding it out with filler. There’s a respectable degree of fanservice here, but little to see for casual fans. The silver-lining is in the anime aesthetics, which make the game worth a second glance for those on the fence.

A poor anime adaptation into a fighting game that can't be recommended to anyone. Not even those who have enjoyed the anime series will find anything worthwhile in here.

One Punch Man es un excelente juego con mucha rejugabilidad, aunque las opciones de pelea son muy limitadas y existen solo personajes de la primera temporada, lo hace un juego prescindible si eres fan del anime.

The game is repetitive and technically poorly performed. Still, the original character design is full of fun.
