Munchkin: Quacked Quest
It’s a sad state of affairs when the best thing you can say about Munchkin: Quacked Quest is that it works. Like, you could play it with your friends (or against the AI) and not have to worry about it crashing…but given how incredibly dull and repetitive the gameplay here is, I have no idea why you’d want to do that.
The problem with creating a dungeon crawler game and calling it Munchkin is that there is too little connecting to the source material.
Munchkin: Quacked Quest is a disappointing experience for anyone who has spent hours with the original card game. There is a bit more staying power for those simply looking for a decent couch co-op game to play with friends over the weekend, but the monotonous gameplay will bore the group rather quickly. If you were hoping this would be the transcendent Munchkin video game experience, I am sad to report that you have something here more closely resembling Mario Party mini-games.

Awkward, inexplicable mechanics. Froze during the tutorial. Worst game I've played in years. Robbery

Crashes 9 out of 10 times on any play, idk how it is o other ports but this switch one is almost unplayable. Tutorial went ok but the moment I started an actual game with a friend it kept crashing. Gameplay otherwise has some fun if a bit monotonous and basic for its price point.

The game is OK. It has some fun aspects but the annoying aspects like the game CONSTANTLY crashing mid map, not saving progress or picked dungeon cards from the crash and the difficulty in which to get items with everyone trying to get items at the same time can be very frustrating. The biggest issue is the constant crashing.

Mixed impressions of the game. It seems that this is the same munchkin from which you do not expect anything serious, but in this case, the player does not receive anything adequate in principle. Chickens that need to be beaten for a long time, but they immediately reborn, a heap of heroes when they want to raise / sell an item and so on. What was meant as fun works like an irritant. Well, the game crashed when two players got level 9. It seems that the game has potential, but until there are patches that change the game, I’m not ready to start it again. Well, we’ll try a maximum one more time in another company, but the result will most likely be the same - put away and do not touch.

This game isn't awful, conceptually, in fact it could ( if it receives some help) actually end up being a really solid party title. But, do you know what will absolutely kill a frantic party game? Slowdown, and trust me, this game is going to slow down on you, and it will be painful. I didn't even have a full 4 players, and within two dungeons my character was moving like the room was full of jello. Don't risk your $25, the Eshop has a no returns policy, and as of right now the game isn't worth it.
