Midnight (2015)

Midnight sounds like a good concept, and the few reviews on here sold me on spending a few bucks to try it out. Unfortunately that was a mistake I would like to encourage other people to not make. Midnight has two things going for it. First, a pretty background image. Second, a soothing music score. Everything else is a hohum humdrum implementation of golf/minigolf on par with you found in those "1000 games!" shareware CDROMs on clearance at Wal-Mart for a buck in 1998. Oh, except half the levels are designed by a masochist that hates you and refused to set a safe word. If it wasn't for the cruel levels of precision demanded of you mixed in with more straightforward and forgiving challenges, this game would be mediocre. But as the designer clearly had no interest in making a rounded, fun experience you really shouldn't throw $2 and give it a chance.
