Metro Exodus is a mishmash of borrowed ideas that falls short of creating a worthy sequel, while holding tight to the previous mistakes of the series.

Metro Exodus is a funny, visually stunning shooter with a diverse environment and opponents and a great atmosphere. [Issue#293]

Metro has always been a very niche game series with poor storytelling, broken stealth and unsatisfying shooting mechanics, which are offset by original setting. The same is true for Exodus, although it also adds "pointless open world" to the pile. [Issue#236, p.28]

One of the best atmosphere in a game I've seen. It's hard to pull off the desolated post apocalipse well, this is the vibe Fallout wishes it could pull off, even if the more serious tone of Metro definitly helps. There is a lack of enemy variety and the enviornemnt can also drag a bit in its variety. Memorable main cast, though the voice acting can sometimes be great, sometimes amatourish, at least in the ENG VA. Guns aren't too varied, standart pistol/rifle/shotgun combo with a unique style rifle that you upgrade as you go on, but they do the job. Interesting story too, keeps you moving forward and invested in the characters. Another solid entree to the Metro world, that, between the books and the games, doesn't miss.

somehow this game manages to be immersive and addictive at thesame time, wich not even some of the best tripple a titles seem to get the hang of the looting feels rewarding and necessary and the atmosphere is nothing short of terrifying but also beutiful, youll know what im talking about if youre familiar with half life 2s atmosphere really recommed this especially if you enjoy slower paced games

I was able to play any games for long time, due to bad schedule and no wish to try new things. But one day i decided to give this game a try because of good things i heard about this game. At first the game feels slow but it went thorough out till the ending. But it was good. Good pacing, good story telling, good npc and beautiful environments. I wish the gameplay could be faster but this is what make this game different from other. There are many good sections in this game. I hope there will be any good sequel in future.

Gorgeous, vast, hugely atmospheric and full of undefeated soul. A Molotov cocktail of emotional narrative and explosive thrills, this is 2019's first serious Game of the Year contender.

A very cool sequel compared to A very cool sequel compared to the previous series. In this part, the graphics have been significantly improved, new mechanics have been added, and most importantly, an open world. The DLC for the game is large and interesting, and at a discount you can pick them up almost for free. The game keeps you in suspense all the time, both in the plot and in the gameplay component (Special respect for the zombies that hide in the sand and disguise themselves in the walls of buildings). The game has convenient weapon customization, overall the graphics are beautiful for 2019, but even now at the time of the review everything looks very beautiful, it's interesting to explore the open world, read postcards and diaries. The game also added a new research method - audio cassettes.

The conclusion to Artyom’s journey has the best gameplay and most compelling story of the series, on top of incredible visual and audio presentation. It retains the series’ simplistic stealth system and falters with control, writing and dialogue issues, but even so, Metro Exodus is an odyssey worth undertaking.

Metro Exodus takes a different approach than previous installments in the Metro-franchise. The game feels more like STALKER and that's a good thing. The only question is how much of the old Metro-soul remains. A great experience, but a different Metro.

Metro Exodus is an absolutely solid, all-around experience. Although the change from indoor to outdoor scenery is striking at first, it allows the gameplay to breathe and feel different from previous titles. The signature makeshift guns are paired well with the new crafting ability, and their lack of stopping power makes firefights meaningful and stealth sections tense. There are still issues here and there, and the presentation could be tighter, but this is a worthy sequel to a game that has earned its cult status throughout the years.

As Exodus’ story draws to a close and the pace picks up, the world becomes narrower and more directed, and a final chapter takes players to the most dangerous Metro location yet. Here Exodus exposes you to the full horror of the apocalypse, as the experience takes on a surreal, otherworldly quality. It’s an excellent conclusion – haunting, frightening, and desperately sad. Yet even in this dead and desolate place, faint embers of hope still linger.

Visually stunning. Phenomenal atmosphere and a much better integration of survival-horror elements than in the previous games (both environment and gameplay wise). The gunplay feels considerably sharper and more comfortable (great selection menus and HUD tweaks) and even slightly more balanced and not as arcady. The story is as good and bad as it's always been. Definitely my favorite Metro game.

-its 2026 and game still has immersion and game breaking bugs
-metro fans failed to put together a bugfix mod or an unoffical patch in 7 years this should make you understand how dumb people who praise this game are just because it has good ray tracing implementation

Most mediocre game in the series. I've tried it for years but I could never get to the last chapter and endure it enough to finish it. Gameplay and the story are extremely boring. After the first two great games, such a horrible ending to the series is unbecoming. Good graphics alone do not make a game good. This is the only basis for those who praise this game. I can't take such people's opinions about games seriously. Now that I think about it, I hope whoever thought of those endless credits at every opening will never find a job anywhere in this game industry again. Even writing a review for this game would be a waste of time.
