If you got kids - this is a must have, if you do not - it still is a very enjoyable little platformer. Do not let the cute mermaids fool you - the game can get very challenging by the end. Oh and its dirty cheap.

I am incredibly tired of cheap switch ports from mobiles and other shovelware that clogs E-Shop nowadays (Thanks Ultimate Games you freaking trash spammers) and I initially assumed this game is one of those. But boy was I wrong. Not only is this Switch exclusive but you can tell it was designed with joycons from the start (You have to be a Switch player to really understand what I mean here). I just hope the developer will eventually add pro-controller support. I prefer pro-controller over joycons much more. About the game - it poked a nearly forgotten craving of underwater games. One in particular: Aquaria. Mermaid Castle is not as complex but at the same time - it fits nintendo switch perfectly and if you are too 'manly' to play a colorful games about cute mermaids - I dare you to beat later levels of this game. Your 'manliness' will evaporate quicker than you think.

Geee what a cute little game this is. Plus, there is literally NO games featuring mermaids and I love them very much ;__; A notice: don't get fooled by colorful graphics and cute characters - this game gets quite hard by the end and a serious challenge if you are going to collect all the treasures. Both me and my younger sis love it ^^

Lemme say this. I have a son and we are all stuck in the house due to coronavirus. Everyone has things to do but my kiddo does not. I tried keeping him occupied with various games and I failed miserably. Then I bought this thing and boom - he sunk in and I can finally get things done. Thank you Mermaid Castle.

A quick story. I am an old gamer (40) and I have a daughter which I love beyond description. We have a great connection but sadly - not a lot in common in terms of hobbies. Video games was always my love and deep inside I always dreamed of my little sunshine and me to be like Robin Williams and his daughter Zelda. A Dad-daughter share front. But she gets a bit pushed away by regular games and at the same time - there is literally NO games for young girls. With exception of those pseudo-games about make up, ponies and other bullocks. Long story short - I bought a copy of Mermaid Castle for my daughter and oh boy was it a bullseye. The game has very nice graphics but solid gameplay. It's a perfect 'entry point' for any dad who wish to introduce their little sweethearts to their dad's passion. Took her some time to beat the game and after that - she came to me with that big eyes and gave me a mission "Dad, could you look around for more games for me?" :') So yeah, guess who's gonna be binge playing Zelda for next couple of months? Best regards to all gaming dads around the world! Team Dads!
