It's single-player may be mediocre, but the online play will put a big exclamation point on the end of your summer. [Oct 2007, p.72]

Only tried-and-true multiplayer modes with smooth Net play save this from utter mediocrity. [Oct 2007, p.86]

An adequate FPS but there's not enough originality here for us to recommend it. [Oct 2007, p.68]

Medal of Honor: Airborne brings some very nice ideas to an already dead genre. Without the embarrassing enemies and the harsh difficulty level this could be the best MoH game to date. [Sept 2007]

Medal of Honor: Airborne is certainly an improvement on what many perceived as a dying brand. It’s not up there yet with the likes of the impending Call of Duty 4, but with a little more innovation and improvements to the online side we can certainly see a return to grace for the once mighty series.

I wish they made more shooters this well. Great gun-play, cool maps, and great graphics. EA is stupid for canceling the sequel and opting to make a crappy modern day reboots (Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor: Warfighter i'm looking at you two.)

Medal of Honor: Airborne, while not perfect, is definitely the best game in the franchise to come along in quite a while.

Medal of Honor: Airborne is great fun while it lasts, however the single player mode is short and it’s doubtful the multiplayer mode will keep the majority of gamers hooked for a long time.

The parachuting mechanic just isn't well-realized enough to levitate this game (ha) beyond its problems, and there are much better titles on the market this year anyways. Skip it.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about Medal of Honor Airborne. At times the game was fun, but other times there wasn’t too much to hold my attention. The weapons upgrades were nice, but the difficulty of aiming the darn things made me frustrated.

The lack of precision and agility really destroys the pathetic online modes. Deathmatch, team deathmatch, and an “objective” territories-style mode are all sad, as is the twelve-player maximum.

Brilliant war game. One of the best WW2 games out there - puts Call Of Duty to shame, but COD wins because of clever mass marketing. Some of the graphics are the best of their time, and the gameplay is really realistic and intense at times. Glad I tried this one.

Positives of this game are I'd say the tight gunplay, the fairly open levels, the interesting airdrop mechanic (even if it's just really a tiny part of the game) and - though its an even smaller thing - the partial regenerating/permanent health system. My main complaint is it's pathetically short campaign which would make the average campaign of today's EAs games look decent in comparison. I never played it's online but I'm assuming its a steaming pile of horse manure. All in all though it's an above average WW2 shooter with enough little interesting bits for it to be worth playing.

This may not be the best WWII game or the best Medal of Honor, but it's still a pretty good shooter, while the action doesn't get pumping until the last two missions, it's still pretty interesting, and does things that other shooters don't which make it truly unique, sadly multiplayer is only played by a few people which hurts it, if you like WWII shooters and want something different than Call of Duty, or are just a fan of the series, you may want to check this out.
