Mario Tennis Fever keeps up the tradition of the series by bringing a fun and funny tennis game based on the Mario universe to Nintendo's latest console. Most of it will be very familiar and the game does not take a lot of risks or treads extraordinary new paths, but it does a very competent job at keeping the experience enjoyable, especially on multiplayer. Mario Tennis Fever is a very welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch 2 catalogue, where it's bound to keep players serving and smashing like its predecessors did in decades past.

Mario Tennis Fever is a fantastic tennis game that overcomes its slow and hand-hold-y story mode through its breadth of modes and gameplay styles, charming characterization, and excellent core gameplay. Even if sports aren’t typically your thing, I recommend checking out Mario Tennis Fever, as it’s another exceptional Nintendo Switch 2 title to fill out the first year’s library.

If you’re specifically looking for a non-traditional, colorful tennis game to play with your friends, then Mario Tennis Fever will fill the void. Unfortunately, the latest Switch 2 entry into the subseries does little memorable and enticing outside of this. It has solid gameplay mechanics, with a variety of characters and rackets to choose from, but there’s not much of note outside of this. It doesn’t help that the Adventure mode is a glorified tutorial. In the end, all Mario Tennis Fever amounts to is a short distraction with friends with minimal enjoyment outside of that.

Wow. Just.. wow.. I love this game! Worth upgrade to Mario Tennis Aces and way more worth it if you like Super Mario or tennis. I absolutely love the new characters and I am happy we get to choose our own Fever Rackets with its own power. I have not played the adventure mode yet, but I know it's going to be amazing. Now the tournaments. They are absolutely cool, and it reminds me/gives me nostalgic vibes of the old tournament in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Not saying it's a copy but I love the new tournaments. Overall, great game! I suggest Switch 2 owners to buy it if you are a big fan of Super Mario, tennis or you want a long-overall worthwhile upgrade.

Mesmo no modo história quanto no modo online é um jogo extremamente infantil. Tenha isso em mente antes de pensar em adquirir.

Worst Online-Gamemode ever. You cannot play 2v2 with your friend in ranked mode. Your teammate will be chosen randomly every new game. It doesn’t work even if your playing on the same console. Absolutely downgrade from the last Mario Tennis.

They say love means nothing to a tennis player but it’s so easy to lose your heart to this spirited slice of sport.

A++ Mario Tennis Game. Yea sure the Adventure Mode is not the best, its more like a tutorial but thats not what you play this one for. The online and local co-op modes are a blast and its great that you can either play with fever rackets on or off and still relive that classic Mario Tennis experience.

Mario Tennis Fever is a lively and inventive entry that shines brightest in multiplayer, thanks to its creative Fever rackets, varied modes, and accessible controls. The biggest downside is the sluggish story mode, but other than that there is plenty on fun to be had.

Mario's various dalliances into sports have been inconsistent, often because they feel so bare-bones and perfunctory. Mario Tennis Fever breaks this trend with a multitude of modes and a playful, flexible gimmick that makes it more wild and unpredictable while also testing your tennis skills in a new way. It's the best a Mario sports game has been in years, and hopefully charts a course going forward for the Mushroom Kingdom's other sporting events.

A great cast of characters and the thrill of Fever Rackets help Mario Tennis Fever overcome its minimalist Adventure mode.

Mario Tennis Fever builds on its predecessor's solid presentation and arcade tennis action with more content than before and a new mechanic that's a recipe for Mario Kart-style courtside mayhem. Although the underwhelming Adventure mode doesn't last long, it doesn't mean you won't have fun during a match.

Mario Tennis Fever takes the series another step in the direction of Mario Kart craziness, but it doesn’t quite work as well on the small tennis court. Multiplayer matches provide short lived fun, but the overall experience lacks staying power, resulting in a shallow and uneven entry that fails to fully capitalize on the series’ potential.

Absolutely incredible game, this new entry goes down as one of my favorite sports titles of all time. Here's why:
Right off the bat, there's a nice tutorial, short and sweet, but enough to actually teach you the basics. The menu is great, and the character unlocking is so satisfying with a nice little sound every time. With game play, this is for sure the best I've seen in the tennis series. The fever rackets add so much more depth and fun to the game, not only fun, but strategy and risk. Having 30 to choose from is also so nice. Now, sure not everything about this game is perfect, and now's the part where we talk about what made this game not get an 85 for critics. The Adventure mode in my opionion isn't great, but it's honestly not that bad. I enjoyed it and got 4 extra hours of playtime. After the first 2 hours, then it gets really fun, with bosses and cut scenes. While the first 2 hours of the adventure mode is really repetitive and feels closer to a chore, I still don't think that this one side mode should bring down the game. This being said, if you are looking for a 3D Mario game, this isn't it. But if you are looking for a fun, party game that also has some fun 1 player modes, then this is your game. Not to mention the online is the best I've seen in a while. Having the ability to create your own public rooms with custom rule sets is really sweet. (Mario Kart, take notes). Anyway, thanks for reading, I highly recommend this game.

Super Mario Tennis Fever delivers a lot of fun thanks to custom racquets with super abilities, vibrant arenas, a strong lineup of fan favourite characters, and surprisingly solid visuals. There’s no shortage of modes either, from themed challenge towers to the much discussed Adventure **** problem is that Adventure Mode is put together in a pretty odd way. It doesn’t really show off the game’s presentation, its core super ability hook, or the full potential of that roster. It’s not a total disaster, but it’s easily one of Fever’s biggest shortcomings. With this kind of gameplay, Nintendo could have built a proper campaign that leans into creative racquets and their abilities. Instead, super abilities only start showing up properly in the back half of the run, and even then they’re rationed out in small bursts, never letting the system reach its potential. A more fleshed out story mode could have pushed this Nintendo exclusive to higher review scores.Still, Super Mario Tennis Fever is a great time, whether you’re solo grinding tower challenges and jumping into online matches, or playing co op with friends and family.

Comparing it to Aces, I’d say it’s a slight improvement. What’s different is that it seems like a more complete game at launch, meaning that there will likely be little to no DLC. That’s fine, and maybe it explains the full price tag. The new mechanics mean that the learning curve is actually a little large for newer players to the series, I would argue. Notwithstanding that, the game can get pretty hectic quickly, so if that’s not for you, you can opt to simply play in a more raw-skilled environment instead. Without giving actual game details and just summarizing it, I’d say it’s not perfect, but still a good entry for series.

This game deserves a good score.I'dgive it an 8 if Nintendo didn't mess up the online play. There's no way to block or report opponents who either have lag or are quitting mid game. This game **** the fun out of it by putting players with different latency against each other.

What is with the fever rackets and the chaos!? It's sometimes too hard to see the ball, so technically this game gets a GU rating (although irl, i'd give it an 8).
SummaryGrab your Fever Racket and get ready to hit the court when the latest entry in the Mario Tennis series swings onto Nintendo Switch 2. Try out 30 different Fever Rackets, each with their own special ability, and take your pick from 38 playable characters!
