Lost in Harmony is a very ambitious title that mixes a surprisingly infectious soundtrack with frantic and fun rhythm-platformer gameplay. It’s one musical romp that’s great for rhythm game players of all sorts, and I can’t wait to see what DigixArt does next!

Even though it does get tough, I would still recommend this to everyone.

Regardless of what you’re looking for, Lost in Harmony does a good job finding different ways to appease players of different interests and skill levels. It’s also filled with catchy music and solid controls and, in the rhythm genre, there’s not much more you can ask for.

There are definite issues with timing between the gorgeous soundtrack and powerful art direction, but they’re still worth playing despite this. The levels are on the shorter side and don’t demand perfection, making them palatable in addition to being complementary to the story. M.I.R.A.I. has a decent enough story that was worth going through. But sometimes it can be just a single piece that defines the full experience. In this case, Lost in Harmony became a recommendable title thanks to a touching tale between a boy and a girl.

Lost in Harmony is a short experience, but the fabulous soundtrack and the story of Kaito and Aya are enough to make it a worthwhile one.

Music normally tells how a game is. Lost in Harmony doesn't have its own soundtrack, so it doesn't have its own identity. Besides, the audio is fine and the visuals are really connected to the story. This creates an innovative and challenging musical endless run game.

For gamers who love the rhythm genre and want to experience every new thing it has to offer, they should play Lost in Harmony. They will appreciate the game’s experimentation, at the very least. (I did, anyway.) But maybe they should skip the Switch version and play it on a phone instead, the way it was clearly intended. In fact, maybe everyone would be better off just playing the game for free on a phone with touch controls.

Lost in Harmony brings some imaginative ideas to the table, but those ideas are a struggle to enjoy due to the game’s somewhat sloppy execution and even sloppier port job.

Overall, Lost in Harmony, while providing a couple hours’ entertainment, is a well-designed runner with great music. It is a definite hit with people who love this genre, though the integration of the rhythm isn’t stellar. I won’t be getting lost in the game for a second play-through, but I enjoyed my time with it.

The concept was there, and I so badly wanted to enjoy it. Unfortunately, caring about the contrived cancer plotline would have only been possible if so much of my time wasn’t taken up by wondering how DigixArt has taken a great mobile game and made it somehow less accessible on a more powerful device.
