Knockout Home Fitness
A great approach to fitness that feels fresh and easy to fit into a busy schedule. Could have more variation in on-screen places and characters to help escapism.
Knockout Home Fitness is a fun game that does exactly what it sets out to do. If you use this game as its intended, then it can aid you in achieving your fitness goals.
Knockout Home Fitness is fairly simple when it comes to content and presentation, but there’s everything here you need for a great workout. The exercise regimes it has you completing are energetic, fun, and really do work up a sweat. It’s easy enough to follow along even if you’re a complete beginner, and the fact that you can tailor your daily workout to suit you is a nice touch. If you’re looking for a video game to help you get in shape, this is a fine choice.

Ok, I love this one. Yes it's a bit rough on the edges, but ****'s the perfect companion to all the other fitness apps. It's a whole body rhythm game and it will make you move and sweat! I remember Fitness Boxing 1 and it was about equally rough, yet it gave you a good workout. This is that. I hope the developer will keep improving the formula, this is great!!! It's in my daily workout routine along with FB 2 now, perfect companions!

Knockout Home Fitness gets a 6 purely due to the fact that it accomplishes its goal of being entertaining enough that it will bring the player back to keep working out. However, compared to something within the same type of game like Fitness Boxing, it is inferior as far as features and ease of playing. Knockout Home Fitness does not provide any tutorials for new moves--you're just thrown into the exercise and presented with one and expected to immediately follow along with the model. This makes doing exercises with the proper form difficult. I was already familiar with the basic punches from Fitness Boxing, but when they got into things like 2 handed strikes I was at a complete loss as to what exactly I was supposed to do. The game also doesn't provide a lot of customization as far as your daily personal training. Up to half an hour of exercise a day is healthy--why does the game think that two 4 minute exercises is enough for a full daily workout? This is in contrast to Fitness Boxing which provides detailed lessons on new movements before they show up in exercises, as well as the ability to go back to look at and practice those moves, a far more customizable daily workout, and a UI that's easier to follow as far as using your left vs. right. Knockout is definitely better in terms of having more variety in its workouts, but if you have the choice, Fitness Boxing is a superior exercise game in just about every other way (to say nothing of Ringfit).

Knoutout Home Fitness is one of the more enjoyable exercise games in existence. It doesn’t require much in terms of set up or prior training, just enter some user information and start punching those calories away. Realistically Knockout Home Fitness isn’t going to get any of its players ripped, but it’s a fun way to get in a cardio workout. It’s low impact enough where it can be used daily to get some exercise in, or for people who view cardio as a necessary evil it can be something used three times a week to meet that requirement.

Knockout Home Fitness is a handy exercise game for the Switch and fills a niche. It isn’t as intensive or potentially lengthy as, say, something like Ring Fit Adventure. Rather, it invites someone to show up every day for a few minutes to be active. It isn’t too strenuous or demanding. The virtual trainers are clear and easy to understand. It’s generally peppy, which people might appreciate if they want something to quickly check in with each day.

Knockout Home Fitness ultimately sets out and accomplishes what it’s trying to do. It’s a pretty entertaining workout experience that actually breaks a sweat. While I wish there was more to unlock and movement accuracy isn’t always consistent, it still had me invested in a daily workout. However, while Knockout Home Fitness isn’t on the ropes, it is not the undeniable champion either.

Ultimately, the only thing that really matters here is determining whether or not Knockout Home Fitness is effective. As is the case with almost every other exercise game, it is. If you stick with it and get those daily stamps, you should be able to notice it making a difference whether you’re working out for 15 minutes a day or an hour. It’s certainly made a difference in my life, but I want to stress this game is not here to hold your hand. It sets a quick pace and expects you to keep up. If you need an exercise game that is a bit more amicable to the beginnings of a fitness journey, you may want to look elsewhere.

Nintendo Life
Knockout Home Fitness doesn't do anything inherently wrong with the selection of short fitness routines it offers, but it fails to support its bare-minimum motion tracking with any extra notable features or gamification to differentiate it from fitness DVDs or YouTube videos. Ring Fit Adventure has blown the fitness genre open on Switch, and with various other alternatives available, Knockout Home Fitness feels a little too limited, old-fashioned, and outclassed by the competition.
