Surprisingly impressive. In fact, the enemy and ally A.I. is done extremely well. Even on lower difficulties, you'll find enemies give you a challenge.
Your objectives are simple enough that you never have to flip switches, jump over pits or hunt down missing keys, but at the same time the smart enemies, brilliant level design and strategic combat will tax your brain more than any scavenger hunt ever could.

I think this game holds up. I'll start with the gameplay, it's fun as hell. The enemy ai is still pretty good. And when the music kicks in, you know when it's about to get serious. The story and multiplayer are also great too.

Xbox A game that will become the new benchmark for first person shooters. Quite frankly, it's one of the better ones that I have seen in a long time, at least since Half Life.
From the look and feel of the game to its balanced learning curve and careful pacing, every aspect of Halo has been polished to perfection.
Not only the perfect next-generation first person shooter, it has redefined the genre, on a console no less. Never before has a combat game been so amazing in every way.
Though all of the vehicles, especially the Warthog, are given odd control mechanics, playing with the vehicles adds quite a bit of enjoyment to the otherwise standard FPS game mechanics.
The first half is fast, exciting, beautifully designed and constantly full of surprises. The second half is festooned with gobsmacking plot twists and great cinematics but let down by repetitive paint by numbers level design.

Been a fan since day one Microsoft has kept this franchise alive at present I am on Master Chief edition now and still is a fan of halo dispite I hate shooters but halo n gears is one of the faves in my library great game Bungie and Microsoft

The game was a great start to the series and and makes you want to play the next one. I can definitely see how this game got to Microsoft flag ship and highly acclaimed honors. The only disappointment of the game was the horde like swarms of of enemys and maps that feel repetitive and seem to go on and on forever. Besides these problems this game makes every game after it a huge success for the series and slot into the timeline perfectly. In conclusion this game is a must play for series with ignoreable issues and is definitely Bungies greatest projects ever.

Unfortunately, this is what Microsoft company understands from the game. The interesting part is that most of the video game reviewers do not understand only the simple and non-development game genres such as FPS and Sports, let's move on to the review without further ado. First of all, is the game good, which is the exaggerated part? Unfortunately, the game is a disgrace, let alone being bad. We can use a maximum of two weapons with an incredible variety of weapons throughout the game, which makes the game incredibly boring and repetitive, not only mechanically, but also as a level design, the game makes you walk around the same places like a closed box from start to finish. Designs and mechanics Aside from the constant repetition, the game's lack of variety is another matter. Let's come to the most praised subject of the game, artificial intelligence, yes, artificial intelligence has proven that it is good at microsoft software, as never before in the game world. Enemies analyze your movements and play against you, and in the game This is the only tangible thing. Unfortunately, the game makes the only good part of it useless due to its crappy mechanics, level designs and diversity. This game is neither an Arcade FPS or a Realistic FPS, a game that failed both. Stop comparing it to Unreal gold and Quake 2. Serious sam The first encounter opponent I can't even say that if these games are masterpieces, this game is a disgrace. As for the score of the game, it's 42/100

Super simple story that makes no sense. A shoot em up with vehicle. Only feature worth mentioning is co-op play. Would never buy this game, got it free with my xbox.
