With an absolutely stellar story, and characters that are more lively and fleshed out than those found in other series this game provides the integral components to make for an RPG that will rule the players life until they’ve finished the game.

A role-playing masterpiece that delivers in all of the ways that really matter. While perhaps a little behind in the technology curve, Grandia's innovation, atmosphere, and story make it one of the most noteworthy RPGs in recent memory.

Grandia was one of the best RPGs of its time. It has a good story and incredible, very captivating characters. The problem is that its graphics have become dated. I recommend it to those players who, like me, highly value the story in games.

Toutefois, merci GRANDIA.

With an emphasis on characterizations, and battles that are actually fun to play, this game totally grabbed me.

It is proof that a strong game accompanied by good, but not great visuals, can be a more compelling product than something with lots of flash, but no substance.

Grandia doesn't opt for grandiose (despite the title) effects or uber-fantastic events to draw gamers in. Instead, this is a game that relies more on characters to tell the story and it does it incredibly well.

A solid RPG with a good story containing many twists and turns. The characters are a little too cutesy for my taste, but are adequate for the story.

Thanks to both CD's being full of gameplay rather than superfluous full motion video sequences, it will take quite a while for even the most avid gamer to make his or her way through to the fulfilling conclusion. It's time well spent.

Grandia is an absolut masterpiece in story, music, world building… it’s an story about adventures and you truly feel like an adventurer while playing this game. Even if it’s an Ps1 game and you just see some pixels with some pictures which show you the emotions, you can feel every emotion the Charakters are feeling. The gameplay is also very creative how you level up you’re skills and how you combine all the element magic.
Everyone who loves JRPGs should play this awesome game.

The game becomes long and drawn out towards the end which does the game no favors in terms of enjoyment and the dialogue and plot is very, very cheesy. the battle system and magic and abilities was solid and kept me playing in what was otherwise your typical but overly cheesified cheese fest **** that wasn't great in anyway shape or form. Oh yes, and Justin seriously began to grate on me too. graphics 4/10 game play 7/10 story 3/10

The game is worth playing for the battle system alone. The characters and story are dumb, and i just couldnt wait for the game to end, it dragged on and on.

Things which seemed epic when you were fourteen don't usually stand the test of time. Grandia with its shambling plot and cringe-worthy anime moments fits squarely into this bracket.
