It's you and your machine versus the circuit. In this respect, Gran Turismo PSP doesn't stall, effortlessly powering to the front of the handheld field in a manner that is likely to leave many a petrolhead breathless.

Superb car handling is the only redeeming factor for GT PSP. It feels great to drive. But that driving needed to be packaged with an actual racing game and that game isn't here.

Whether you get the most out of GT on the PSP will ultimately depend upon how much you enjoyed the rest of the instalments in the series. If you're not already a fan of the slavishly exhaustive self-confessed Real Driving Simulator, then this will do nothing to change your mind.

If only this game had a proper story mode it would be such an amazing title! There is a lot of cars, beautiful locations and the gameplay has aged like a fine wine. But with only simple races it's a wasted potential and it's a shame because of how good this game could be.

Sad that there's no real **** decent port for PSP. GT3 styled game for PSP. I did experienced some weirdness when playing with a friend *cough* 400kph Ford GT *cough*. But yo....good learning game for GT.

A very good port for a PlayStation Portable. It has enough content to make you occupied. And you have something to make you Occupied so you spend time racing around to get money. Sadly. No career mode because of hardware limitations

However, Polyphony Digital has not only delivered on their promise to make a great portable Gran Turismo, they have created the best portable racer this generation.

Gran Turismo does a good job of bringing the core GT experience to the PSP, but racing fans are sure to be disappointed by the fact that the races are limited to four cars.

Sadly this game has the same equal score for both critics and users which are 7.4
I think the number 4 is considered unlucky since it refers to the noun death.
I hope in future time the user score will eventually raise to 7.5 and amen.

A very good driving game and the basics are spot on. The lack of penalties and internet multiplayer modes are real problems, though. [Nov 2010]

This GT5 appetizer is a very good driving game in its own right, especially if you have friends to enjoy it with.

It’s easy to feel like you’re a kid in the candy store with GT’s open format, but this edition of the franchise has none of the sweet, satisfying racing that has been its hallmark.

I wanted more. I expected more.

Gran Turismo PSP falls short of delivering a full experience. Polyphony Digital did an amazing job on the technical side of this game, but the glaring omission of a real career and the lack of car upgrades sinks what could have been a great title.

It gives a lot of contents, but there's no career mode. Not to be upset, this is an arcade game in my opinion, just quick race, get the prize, and buy great cars. The license test pretty decent, like normal GT games. The car list were pretty huge, I don't believe a racing game in psp having more than 800 car lists. Trouble for me, the AI cars were unbalanced in quick race, like I don't know why the cars that AI picked were much faster, more powerful than my car I picked in, which sometimes got really hard on S rank. And those AI actions in a race were predictable, they can be faster like a torpedo when at first or sometimes being a turtle when I was first. To be concluded, it's pretty great game, but nothing to expect me more for a PSP game. They have much potential in this game, but they didn't take it all.

It sure has a lot of content for a psp game, car models look fine, but the career is non existent

Admittedly, I’m not used to the standard GT games, so I’m gonna judge this for it’s own merits. It’s trash alright? It goes in constant slow-motion and is boring as **** with nothing entertaining at all. The graphics are grey, the levels are grey and the level design is beyond lazy. A stale and painful experience for depressed people.
