I loved it, It was my first Gear.Even if the story is linear and simple I think it's very enjoyable. The characters are really good, you can grow fond of them, even if the plot is not that long. I finished it and it doesn't happen really often with me. Maybe it isn't perfect, but I think that what remains is your personal gameplay, if you had fun, if you even got affectionate with the protagonists... well then it's a good game.

Extreme simple story, not good. It is very boring whennyou have doubled all actions from act2 on act3.Mamy, mamy bugs that prevent progress (reboot required). And why it is Gears NOT GEARS OF WAR ?!!!

Stupid story and disastrous control, this game is unbearably bad, the only thing that distinguishes it is the graphics, nothing more, with all due respect to all fans of the series, this part is a disgrace to the series

"Gears 5" plays like an open-world "Gears of War 4". The gameplay is fun, the story is good and the graphics are solid. But the lack of innovation is disappointing. Very little has changed since the series debuted in 2006. In addition to the Story, this sequel includes online competitive multiplayer, Horde mode and Escape which is a series of co-op missions. Overall, "Gears 5" is a satisfying action game. But it should've pushed the series forward with newer ideas and mechanics. I'd rate it with an 8.2 out of 10.

The writing direction is horrible. this entire franchise went down the drain after gears 3

I've been slowly playing through this franchise over the last few years and I'm a big fan of every single one so far, but there are definitely some I like more than others and I'd say this one's right in the middle for me. Gears 1 is a masterpiece of action horror - 2, 3, and Judgment while still very good were mostly more of the same but without the horror, and then I thought the 4th entry was awesome because it brought a little of that horror back and updated the gameplay. Just continuing to do what made that one great would've been acceptable to me, but now Gears 5 steps in with several more sweeping changes, some of which land perfectly and some I could've done without. Having a cute little robot sidekick that you can order around to complete puzzles and assist during combat may sound gimmicky, but it actually adds a lot of interesting complexity to what has traditionally been extremely straightforward gameplay - that was risky but it paid off. And with the exception of the original game I think this story is probably the most interesting, the most emotionally satisfying, and probably the weirdest which is saying something. Also can we just take a moment to appreciate the talent of Laura Bailey? I always knew she was good but it seemed like every little throw away line she had in this she was just pouring her heart into it, it was awesome to hear. To wrap up the win column here, this is a very little thing but it fascinated me - the transitions from gameplay to pre-rendered cutscene and vice versa were probably the best I've ever come across. Most games are happy to just give you a black screen for a moment or maybe cut away to a different character or backdrop during those transitions, but you can tell that whoever was in charge of this detail did their damndest to make it look seamless, and I thought it really added to the immersion. Now all that stuff was great but I do think there were a few flies in the ointment here, starting with the tacked on open world segments in what has always been a linear franchise. When these are done right they are the freaking best, like in The Evil Within 2 or The Tomb Raider Reboots or the new God of War games, but here they felt almost totally unnecessary. If you're gonna go that route, those sections either need to be required or you need to give me a really good reason to stray from the beaten path, like some awesome gear or a max health upgrade or something. But I did a couple of optional things in those sections and all I got was some weapons which are a dime a dozen anyway, or maybe some components for the aforementioned robot companion. I initially loved that you had upgrade points you could spend to add a mild RPG element to the mix, but in practice those upgrades didn't actually turn out to be very impactful, so I eventually just starting skiffing right past them. Last but definitely not least, remember how I said I loved that they brought a little bit of the horror element back in the 4th game? Well I guess they decided that wasn't working because it's pretty much gone here. There are moments that you could consider somewhat tense, but that atmospheric tone that had your heart racing as you peaked around corners and into the dark is gone, and it's back to just balls to the wall action now. But balls to the wall action is still a lot fun, and while I don't think it's quite as good as Gears 4 or the original of course, I did enjoy it slightly more than 2, 3, and Judgment.

One of the best in the series and in many ways, it feels like a course correction after Gears of War 4 not in every way but in enough of what I consider matter

It is definetly better than the previous gears,i actually enjoyed playing it. The multiplayer is good, the weapons and controls are good, not as flawing, the story actually got interesting. But the open world.. it was the worst thing for me in this game. I also felt kinda dissapointed becouse of the length.

After a mediocre Gears of War 4, Gears 5 is back on track, with a great story, great mechanics, great gameplay.

This game is about shooting and every aspect follows it. Each weapon has its own feel and every single one of them can be used with pleasure, which is kind of rare for modern games. Skiing is also made surprisingly well and moving around huge open spaces is very satisfying. However, I have to notice that ally AI is not the brightest and the second act takes too long.

This game looks amazing on PC! This game brings the hype and delivery that is unheard of! Gears 5 is a good example game of action-based games. It also has so much creativity with the characters/skins, to even the weapon skins. The gameplay is beautiful and so smooth. The campaign is done so perfectly and is top tier in the franchise.

Gears 5 is a big, loud blockbuster that brings so much to the table, it’s easy to under-appreciate it. By building on the stories set in motion by its predecessor, Gears 5’s narrative journey is a benchmark for the series so far with well-rounded characters that are far easier to love when compared to the original trilogy’s gruff, motley crew. Once you throw a polished, brutally competitive online facet, Horde’s best iteration, and the promising Escape into the mix, Gears 5 becomes a package too hard to refuse considering the clear value on offer. The story’s driving force might be “bound by blood” but Gears 5 is bound for greatness.

Honestly a great gears of war game! My 2nd favourite next to gears 2!!!!!!!!!

Waiting for the new one in this Serie. Gears of War the OG was my favorite game. My most played Online Game.

-Horas Jogadas: + 50h- Plataforma: Xbox Series S- Rejogado em 2023; ( 1)- Gráficos: Gráficos de excelência, modelagem dos personagens e ambientes feitos com primor.(2)- Jogabilidade: É boa a jogabilidade bem fluída, melhorou bastante se considerando com 1, 2 e 3. Não tem mais o prejuízo da movimentação dos personagens durante a comunicação deles no rádio. Ainda não é minha jogabilidade preferida, porém melhorou muito. A inserção de um mundo semiaberto foi uma inovação bacana, assim como a participação do robô Jack, como personagem jogavel; (3)- Inteligência Artificial: Inimigos com uma boa inteligência.(4)- Historia: Tem uma boa continuação da história da franquia, explica a origem dos locusts e sua rainha, porém os novos personagens não cativam muito, deixando uma lacuna nesse quesito. (5)- Online/Cooperativo: Não joguei muito os modos, porém o cooporativo na campanha continua excelente.(6)- Bugs: 1 jogabilidade;(7)- Árvores de Habilidades/Armas/Equipamentos/Inimigos: Uma boa variedade de Inimigos, também uma excelente variedade de armas e diferentes tipo de execuções dependendo da arma utilizadas, mais aprimoradas em relação aos antigos, possui Árvore de Habilidade interessante para o robô Jack.(8)- Fator Diversão: Excelente diversão, continuando ser melhor se jogado em cooporativo. Forced crossplay with pc has ruined this game. Xbox keeps getting worse, now it's all about pc.

Not a bad game had fun with it. I think it needs a revamp. Feels like same gears from 10 years ago . But slighty better graphics and new story.

[LE FALTA MAS DAÑO A LAS **** tan desalentador que el daño de armas sea muy bajo, sientes que con nada haces **** debieron quitar la recarga activa y no debieron bajar el daño a las armas principales como el Lancer y la **** Cambio de Arma es Lentísimo.

Gears 5 representa un gran avance a comparación de su predecesor. Creo que poner a Kait como protagonista en un gran acierto, ya que es un gran personaje. La campaña me parece muy buena, aunque el mundo semiabierto no me termina de convencer. El juego innova lo suficiente pero sin perder la esencia de gears of war. Me parece un gran acierto en la saga y una buena dirección para lo que sigue de esta increíble saga.

The game is amazing. Best graphics i ever seen from Xbox exclusive game. Very good story, can't wait for what happens next. Shooting is at top level as every gears game.

Bem melhor do que o seu antecessor, a The Coalition vem fazendo um bom trabalho aqui, porém ainda não chega aos pés de quando a franquia estava nas mãos da Epic.

Coming from a PlayStation 4 background in the last generation, I recently played Gears 5 on the Xbox Series X. It's a standout title from the previous generation, a true masterpiece. The storyline, in particular, stood out. Highly recommended.

I've been playing gears of war since i was a child and i totally love the way that the coalition made this game.

The Coalitions has made Gears of War 4-5 amazing games that both Continue the Amazing story telling and action from the original Trilogy, but without making them feel like that these games are relying on the past. Gears 5 story feels fresh, the characters are well written, the Muliplayer is fun and engaging, and the Horde mode brings in a level of varity that a lot of games in this genre lack. Overall very fun, very polished, and Argueably some of the best Graphics of the Xbox one/ps4 era.

The combat and mobility of this game is very strange, the movement in general is something for people who really like TPS, in addition to the empty open world, story and lukewarm development, the game can even deliver very good graphics, but nothing too much.

While very beautiful, the game protagonist didn't click with me, the AI allies aren't that smart or helpful. Story was meh at best.

Para mim esse é o segundo melhor gears, história fantástica, gráficos lindos, gameplay maravilhosa. Só fica em segundo porque o felling de jogar gears of war 2 foi o melhor pra mim, mas gears 5 é fantástico não erra em nada.

Im returning to this game years later and still a bugfest. It is not an engaging game, and very repatative, though with some fun moments throughout.

Gears 5 was honestly a surprise for me, while the story this time around isn't that interesting, the gameplay mechanics are arguably the best in the series, the game feels very smooth to play, and the new additional mechanics are good. It also includes two very open areas which you can explore in order to unlock new abilities or learn more things about the world. There aren't many things you can't do in them, and the side quests are very generic, but it's a nice attempt to make the game more re-playable and fun. Lastly, the game takes a while to pick up, the pacing is sometimes weak and the desert area drags quite a lot, but in the end it's definitely a worthwhile experience. As for the multiplayer, it works well, there's a decent amount of game modes to choose from, and there are many customization options. Final Rating: "Good" ~ 7/10.
