There are certainly some shadows that must be taken into account, like the lack of an online multiplayer mode, a subpar art or the limitations in a world that had the potential to be pretty much open. Still, we cannot deny that it remains as one of the most addictive driving games due to its structure and an overall improvement on the vehicles. The lack of a traditional online multiplayer mode.

Gear.Club Unlimited 2 evolves over the previous game firstly by making this game more consoley and less mobiley, but also by including more variety in almost every aspect of the proposal. Sadly, its driving model is far from perfect, and the game becomes tiring before its ending but it's the best serious racing game on Switch.

With 51 vehicles and some more diversified environments, Gear.Club Unlimited 2 is an arcade game with some great content, playable alone or in multiplayer. It’s a great way to drive freely due to interconnected tracks, even if the hardware sometimes feels a bit light for the game engine.

Gear.Club Unlimited 2 is a racing and simulation game with strong arcade inspiration. Despite its graphic limitations and low optimization, the title allows us to manage our club, workshop and cars like no other game on Nintendo Switch.

Considering the current lack of realistic looking racing games on Switch, Gear Club Unlimited 2 does manage to stand out. Whilst the load times are problematic, the core driving gameplay is surprisingly enjoyable and for that reason alone is worth considering.

There will be an update for online multiplayer later, but there's nothing as of right now. The game could be fun, but the developers of Gear.Club Unlimited 2 really need to rethink this mobile-style progression system and make the game load faster and run smoother. With those improvements, it could be a great racer that everyone should play on the Switch.

Gear.Club Unlimited 2 is a quick sequel that only marginally improves on its underwhelming predecessor. Any forward strides are largely undone by unresolved issues from last year and some new performance problems.

Eden Games has a lot to work with for this racing series. It could be a great game, but right now it feels a little too mundane, a little too tied to its own past, and marred by technical issues that really slow down the pacing of what should be a fast pick-up-and-go sort of game. It winds up feeling like a downgrade from the last game, rather than an upgrade.

Gear.Club 2 is a positive evolution of the first one, but a minor evolution. Not enough in any case so we can decide to move to this new version without any remorse. In addition, the technical problems encountered with the original game (driving 100% arcade, loading times) remains. Gear.Club 2 is therefore a game to advise because it is the only one in the category of "serious" racing games of the Nintendo Switch.

Gear.Club Unlimited 2 is a rare sighting in the Nintendo Switch catalogue when it comes to its genre. That being said, it keeps too many elements from its mobile device origins which don't belong to a console. While its multiplayer and career modes are something to praise, the game also features too long loading times and a sound environment which feels too neglected. Overall, Gear.Club Unlimited 2 is too expensive for what's on offer.
