A few casts of your line make Fishing Master an enjoyable enough VR demo, the kind of game you'll fire up when you have friends over who haven't tried VR before. It's not the kind of game that you'll sit down and play for an hour, though. It's just too simple and too repetitive to hold your interest for long.

Though riddled with localization oddities and misspellings, Fishing Master is a $20 relaxing day at the lake. If you focus on just pulling photorealistic fish into your boat and ignore the grind-heavy nature of the RPG-lite upgrade mechanics, there’s a shiny lure here. I’m not sure what to do with this other hand...

If you are not sold on how awesome fishing in Virtual Reality is, then check out the Playstation store for the DEMO version first before you buy it. In the end however, I would say for a relaxing fishing trip without having to do it for real….Fishing Master VR is a must have for a fun, relaxing experience.

FISHING MASTER VR, PlayStation VR Version Review. Fishing Master VR is by far the best Sportsman Game I have ever had the privilege of spending time with. The Gameplay mechanics are simple enough to quickly understand yet deep enough to maintain a sense of skill which keeps the game fun from destination to destination. Speaking of the destinations, there were times while playing that I caught myself literally staring out into the mountains or watching the water ripples which seem so real. One pretty major feature that Fishing Master got right on the PlayStation VR is when you move your PlayStation Move Controllers the in-game hands are exactly where they should be and when you press a button to do a specific task it is also spot on. The sights and sounds are some of the best I have seen not only in a VR Game but also overall in games period. My absolute favorite part of FIshing Master VR on the PSVR has to be the Fish themselves. The Fish truly are the rockstars of this VR Title and the Developers did a phenomenal job making them as lifelike as can be. I am enjoying my time with Fishing Master on the PlayStation VR and am looking forward to relaxing more on the water in game. Fishing Master VR a 8.5 / 10. Reviewed and Written By Jason N.
