Fields of Mistria is an exceptional farming game sim that stands tall among titles like Stardew Valley and the best Story of Seasons entries. It’s gorgeous. The gameplay loop is sharp. The characters are lovable. The sense of growth and progression is satisfying. Fields of Mistria is a fantastic way to spend 20, 50, or 100 hours of your life.

Fields of Mistria is everything I look for in a farming sim, combining a lively village, strong characters, satisfying progression, and an addictive gameplay loop. The 1.0 release builds beautifully on the already impressive early access version, with improved day length, better quality-of-life features, and more room for the story to grow. Minor issues like some post-update lag and a slightly underwhelming museum barely hold it back. For me, Fields of Mistria is one of the best farming sims right now, with gorgeous pixel art, memorable NPCs, and a world I’m far from done exploring.

I have had a hard time finding a new farming game I enjoy as much as **** Valley but here it is. The gameplay loop is just as polished as **** and there’s so much to do. Getting to know the characters is so rewarding. So is digging in the mines. So is crafting. So is filling the museum. This game costs less than fast food dinner for two. Don’t think about it, buy it.

honestly the best farming sim out there. It excels in every aspect for me, with satisfying gameplay, Qol and good characters. There's so much to do each day, I pretty much always end up staying up until the very last moment of an in-game day.

Fields of Mistria is a rare farming RPG that manages to improve upon the genre's familiar foundations without losing what made them so appealing in the first place. Its farming, RPG progression, relationships, exploration, and narrative all complement one another, creating an experience where nearly every activity contributes to the larger journey. A few rough edges in combat, resource RNG, and quality-of-life keep it from absolute perfection, but they do little to diminish an otherwise remarkably polished and thoughtfully designed experience. Fields of Mistria doesn't just prove that the genre still has room to grow, it sets an incredibly high bar for what a modern farming RPG can be.

A fresh face for farm sims that brings the magic back with the best-written cast I've seen from the genre.

I went into Fields of Mistria expecting something fairly routine. I’ve played a lot of games like this before, and nothing I’d seen of it in the lead-up led me to think Mistria would be anything special. It’s weird to be both right and wrong about this. Fields of Mistria really is a lot of what I’m already very familiar with, polished up and sparkling. But it’s also got a charge to it, a brightness that’s compelling me to stay even when I feel I already know every trick it could possibly pull. Another spring, summer, fall, and winter in Mistria are waiting for me, and though I already know what bounties they’ll bring, I’m willing to be surprised by them anyway.

Simply put, Fields of Mistria is magic — and it’s not even done yet.

The first farming game that rivals **** valley in my opinion. The datable characters could use a bit more personality or cute date-like interactions, but overall its already such a solid game. i cant wait to play it again in a couple years to see what they keep adding!

Better than **** imo. Way more beginner friendly and better graphics/colours and interactions with the villagers. The 90 anime art style isn't super for me but it doesn't take away from the game for me. More forgiving and customizable and quality of life features compared to startdew.
