Ok this one is pretty bad. I had high hopes going into this, but i was severely disappointed. The combat is ass, the enemies don't look threatening in the slightest, the mechanics are implemented awfully, and the graphics look like balls. Do not play this.

Обычно кооп делает, даже плохие игры хорошими, ну или забавными, но это гавно даже кооп не спас

Got it on ps+. OK-ish game in easy mode. Farming, crafting, base building, souls movesets. I wouldn't go near the 'normal' mode with the absence of proper healing items. As poor as it is, they couldve sold it for 20bucks and get good ratings with an xp system. But they chose to try sweep it under the rogue/souls rug and sell it for more. Ofc it got lynched. Can provide some fun for a few days

This game has been published in 2019 and looks as if it is a PS2... OK... maybe PS3 title. It is not that graphics are important to me but this felt kind of too much. A PS4 title that looks really outdated. From the very beginning I felt that I won't be playing this game for too long. After half an hour I left it for good. Such bad acting I really couldn't swallow in a video game in 2019. Maybe some fans of Dark Souls kind of gameplay and combat could play this but I am definitely far away from liking anything about Fade to Silence.

From the very start of the game it is clear as day that all the funds for this game went into death;s voice, or whatever the grim voice is, i never got much farther than the starting area because all aspect of the game right down to its controls, are purely a 3/10 alone. it looks like and runs like it belongs on the last generation of consoles and even more of a kicker was i bought it on PS4, so my chance to refund this annoying and half baked game never existed. If you watched the trailers and think its going to be a Darksiders X Tomb Raider type game AVOID IT. at least on consoles, where refunds are not guaranteed

The game has a lot of things I like: base building, gathering resources to craft better gear and upgrade your camp, recruiting followers, etc. It can give you a slight sense of accomplishment. However, it's marred by terrible graphics, constant bugs and glitches, annoying traversal of the environment and underwhelming combat. Had this game been developed by a better studio with a better budget, it could've been decent. I'd say if the frame rate didn't drop constantly (especially when you're in your camp) and if it didn't crash so often, I'd bump my score up to a 7/10. I really want to like this game. I find some of the gameplay interesting and I think it has some potential, but the fact that all you do in this game is explore the environment and occasionally have to attack an enemy with the same moves over and over again, it leads to a lackluster experience that had the combat been more engaging, the traversal of the environment more interesting and the technical glitches remedied, would've made this a better title than it is. Also, the story needs a lot of work. You basically learn everything about the state of the world and your past in flashbacks whenever you rest and, personally, I find that a lazy way to execute the story. There's no way to learn about the world through exploration, which is how a title like this should work, in my opinion. That way you have more of an incentive to travel and explore. Otherwise, what's the point? Sure, you need to explore to gather materials for your camp and followers, but nothing binds the player to the story. This wouldn't be a problem if the sole purpose of the game was only to survive, but they added a story that has no depth beyond what you learn from these incoherent flashbacks. All in all, what keeps me playing this title is the goal of crafting better equipment and building up my camp and stockpiling resources. Otherwise, there is no real reason to continue past that. No gripping story, no amazing combat and traversal through the world. Nothing but monotonous grinding, which if you enjoy the satisfaction of growing your little society in the wilderness is the only reason to play this game.

I thought I might like the game despite the poor reviews since the oft-quoted problems were technical and could be patched. On paper, it sounds great: - soul's like combat, check - post-apocalyptic landscape, check - vaguely lovecraftian influences, check how can this game possibly be as bad as people say? Well, I did not see a whole lot of glitching or crashing but, unfortunately, this is a boring game with a muddled story, overly punishing and uninteresting combat, boring characters, and no reason to continue playing. Soulsborne (or souls-borne-sekiro?) games get to be punishing because they also offer fascinating worlds to get lost in and a tangible sense of progress both with shortcuts and with actually getting good at the combat. The labyrinthine environments would be a joy to explore even without the varied enemies to defeat. But what does this game offer? Samey environments with like 4 types of enemy, most of which soak hits forcing one to do the "heavy hit-step dodge" dance over and over and god forbid something blocks the poorly controlled camera. This, coupled with the completely unexplained and an unwarranted attempt to make this a rogue-like makes for an unpleasant slog. Why on earth would I want to do the clunky base construction again after losing all my lives? And, don't even get me started on the sled mechanics.

This game was a pleasant surprise. Fade to silence is an excellent survival and a little bit of horror game with good atmosphere and story. It has also co-op. Even if you are not a survival or a horror fan it is highly likely that you are going to like this game.

As soon as I saw the difficulty options I thought here we go again with another developer who is more interested in punishing you rather than letting you enjoy a game. Horrible gameplay, dialogue. I'm not looking for hand holding but other survival games have such a better introduction to their world. Sadly another dissapointment.
