One of the year's most shocking surprises gives us both an entertaining story and incredibly fun and constantly evolving gameplay.

An excellent action game with terrific combat and spot-on controls. The campaign is at a decent length, but there should have been more to do after clearing it.

I was hesitant about Evil West. Early reviews didn’t sell me, and I kept pushing it down my backlog, unsure if it was worth the time. In hindsight, I regret waiting so long. This game is an absolute blast, and I wish I had played it **** fun kicks in once you get the hang of the game’s mechanics and start playing it the way it was meant to be played. It’s fast-paced, satisfying, and genuinely rewarding once you embrace its rhythm. The combat is chaotic in the best way, combining brutal melee attacks with over-the-top gadgets that keep the action **** then there’s the story. It has this gritty, straightforward charm that reminded me of Gears of War 1. It doesn’t try to cater to a modern audience or cram in unnecessary fluff. Instead, it doubles down on delivering a pulpy, action-packed narrative that keeps you engaged without feeling forced or bloated.Evil West doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it doesn’t need to. It knows exactly what it wants to be: a fun, unapologetic throwback to when games were just about having a good time.

Evil West is very much like a cowboy version of Shadow Warrior 3 that has increased action content. Its combat system is well designed. There are various gun skills which can bring players fresh experiences, but there is not much depth in level design, the puzzle-solving parts also slow down the rhythm. What's more, you can really feel that Evil West lacks polishing in many details, which makes the quality of the game unsatisfying.

Poor writing and some technical issues are not enough to hold back what is otherwise a blast to play. Solo or co-op if a turn-your-brain-off type of kill-a-thon sounds appealing I think this one is worth it.

Evil West offers a nice hunt, even if not all is perfect. This somewhat classic FPS provides a lot of much fun killing vampires.

Dumb, fun and full of western slang, Evil West has snuck out into a crowded release season with a unique selling point: fun, with very little nonsense.

Игра пройдена на уровне сложности – Зло.
От создателей Hard Reset и ремейка Shadow Warrior очень хотелось получить действительно стоящую игру, но, по всей видимости времена, когда команда пыталась делать настоящие игры канули в лету, и это было заметно уже по 2 части Shadow Warrior, желание денег (само по себе понятное) любой ценой пересилило желание делать настоящие игры и их проекты стали просто попыткой заработать, пытаясь угодить всем и соблюдением всех тенденций. Результат, крайне средние проекты от сбора электронного мусора до данной игры. Неплохая история, погрязла в крайне не точном соснольном управлении, не возможности полностью исследовать не боевые локации, шкурках для главного героя и крайне детской-упрощенной подачи этой самой истории, когда то что происходит на экране с действующими лицами не вызывает никаких эмоций настолько всё предсказуемо и банально и служит лишь ширмой для пиу-пиу, которое в виду заточенности под геймпад (медленное и не точное управление) порой лишь сильно раздражает.

Evil West est une très bonne surprise ! Les combats sont dynamiques, nerveux et super plaisants, l’histoire tient bien la route et réussit à garder l’intérêt du début à la fin. Techniquement, ça tourne bien sur ma config (RTX 5070 Ti), mais j’ai quand même dû baisser les effets et les ombres au minimum pour éviter du stuttering. Donc l’optimisation pourrait être un peu meilleure. En dehors de ça, c’est un très bon jeu, peut-être un peu court (comptez environ 15 heures), mais franchement plaisant du début à la fin.

It made me to spend my time and money in vain. Horrible story, bad gameplay (people say it’s GoW+RDR2 but no that’s another level: JUST HORRIBLE), worst boss fight and map designs… I can’t believe that it made in 2020s because it looks like some of 2010s games that you don’t need to use your brain. You’re doing the same things like 7-8 hours like killing same bosses, solving same puzzles (charge the generator and go on in 500 times) with bad mechanics. I only loved the beginning of the game, next parts are just horrible.

I wanted to love on this game so much, but those bugs, THOSE BUGS. Are horrendous and they have not decided to fix it. It basically isn't playable. I hope they make a sequel and have better alpha/beta playtesting to get those bugs out. Other than that, brillant and fun concpet, just not able to enjoy it.
